      • Originally bikes were supposed to be serviced at every 2500 km officially. But bajaj has less number of authorized service center, lesser than HH and TVS. So as the waiting period increased for servicing, Bajaj officially doubled the service interval without making any change in engine.
whats it...is it true?then very cheat na? if there should b engine problems, then it should affect their bikena ? so why they done this? i cant understand"' i am very angry with this.

when I bought the bike, the waiting period for servicing was ~6 hours. Now within a period of year at the same A.S.S. it's 2 days.
So finally is it better to service at 2500 instead of 5000? definitely !! increases the life of the bike.
The very best time for second service is when you clock 2000 km on odometer b'cos that's when you finish your bike's running-in.
not to use their oil. For second servicing I'd suggest you to use motul 3100 15W50 semi-synthetic. For next service and forth opt for motul 300 15W50 full-synthetic.
but there is a problem mann....that is when i purchased the bike, their offer for me was that during 2 free services, they should carry the price of oil and other costs,,,so at first service they only paid 35 for chain cleaning...
if i am going for my own oil i have to pay it....the 2nd service according to them is in between 4500, 5000kms. really bike 2200kms now done. what will do mannnn?....

Whenever you go for servicing tell them explicitly that AFR screw should not be touched in any condition
heard that the spark plug tip color should b in chocolate brown for ideal tuning. my spark plug is in ash color, is it ideal?

        Go back few pages.
Saree guard will definitely spoil bike's looks.
BTW why do you need it? my mom says default is fine for her.
its true..my mom also said the same.....but, complained during long runs...
so like this mod.....i think the splenders separately attached foot rest will help me. is it?

get Pirrali if available in that size.
You can post it into the thread dedicated for tyres.

You sure that was fuel? because I think it should be clogged water from pipes. Or the other possibility is that it could be petrol from tank overflow pipe.

A.S.S never ever repair anything, they simply replace it.

They can't charge for chain cleaning as it's a part of free servicing. That 35Rs. must be the tax like VAT or something you paid because free service doesn't included taxes imposed.

Where do you live? what SC you service in?
Why would they give free oil? what oil are they offering? was it xxW50? or you don't know?.
You sure they really changed the oil?
I suggest go for second servicing soon.

Do one thing wear tight cloths and safety gears like helmet etc,. Go to nearby empty highway stretch. With totally leaned on tank (meaning looking at roads through headlight visor) check following:
            1. can you get to speed of 60+ in 5 seconds?. (Tip: switch to second gear at 31-35 and you don't need third gear to reach that speed.)
            2. What's max speed you can achieve? 120? 125? 130...135?
            post back.

then how much we have to pay for first and second servicing? r they cheated me?

i am from kerala...personally i know the service centre owner..so he given me this offer..also they dont gave any discounts during full payment.
i dont know about the oil which they used...i thought that they will mark it in the service book which oil they have used....but they didnt. so i dont know whether it is bajaj 10,000 oil or anyt other...but the oil was replaced. i was checked it...it was fresh with brown color i think..
as u suggested i will go for second service soon..

oh....ever touched even 65 in my bike because it was in ruunning in period till now...touched 62 two days earlier when 2000 kms are over in my odo...
also at that time mileage was only 35. i dont know why this type of decrease in mileage during such small increase in speed.. my mileage was 57-62 till that...i became really sad with that...the mileage is decreased to about half..
so now i am really beware of twisting my wrist,,,,i am now eager to know what i am getting next time.................

Ah ha, the petrol overflow pipe didnt strike me. It certainly was petrol. Smelt petrol. Evaporated like petrol But I couldnt see where it came from. Now that you mention the overflow pipe, it makes sense.

                          • @Jasmin Rider: Neither Castrol nor bajaj(HP) 10000 oil are as good as motul. It costs double but man the smoothness it gives make it priceless.
I urge you to use Motul 5100 only at second servicing.

about average you are getting I'm damn sure you're method of checking it is wrong.
Proper method: when your tank gets empty fill some(5l +) amount of petrol then reset trip meter ride till tank gets empty again.
Now you know what calculations are to be done simple.
Do this checking before second service.

                            You have posted only thumbnails.
