Check if the cable near the carburetor is stuck and is broken from the twisting accelerator.

Yes, that needs time and effort tobe put on. You told me that you will try CBZ this time. BTW, I did'nt have any good CBZ in my city, they all are almost like only putting the posters and certificates of CBZ and know nothing. The best service experience and the worst has been with the SC only so far.

    • Pulsar 135LS footrest on Pulsar 180 UG4

      4. I have welded the foot rest with the saree gaurd. It looks odd. How can i fix this. I heard from my friends tht i should use powder paint. how can i get it. can i report it to service center. BTW my foot rest is shining steel.
You may also consider using Pulsar 135 LS's footrest, just like I did . Please refer the attached photos. It looks sporty too .

PS: Tried fitting pulsar 150's saree guard with footrest. But it was very difficult.

Some times i feel that the bike was smooth "after a long journey" but sometimes there was more sound from engine so doesn't feel a smooth riding, why?have anyone face this problem?Anything related to clutch ?because my clutch cable was loose for about 4-5 months so sometimes i cant start the bike on first gear If we release the clutch a little bit then the self will work... i thought that there may be problem with self...but self have no problem at all....recently i went to S.Center to change the clutch cable but they told me that there is no problem with cable and they tighten the cable now the bike move at the top end release of clutch and the self start problem gone.I think the bike was smoother than before....Is this clutch problem will affect my smooth riding?

As the engine gets hot 'metallic parts' inside the engine expand alittle and oil too gets thinner, due to heat, and this somehow changes or gives an affect of non-smooth ride. No problem. That's the way it behaves.

Clutch tension should always be correct to insure proper and healthy ride. Now, it is correct...

                  • Hi all,

I have pulsar 180 UG4 and just installed HID 35watt on my bike. There is a problem with the battery indicator, it's blinks when I turn the lamp on.
When I checked the voltage output, it is about 13V and wont go up. I suspect this is the problem.
Is the voltage output from my bike normal?
Is there anyone here have installed HID on UG4 before? Is there any problem with the installation?

PS: Sorry if my question already asked before, and sorry for my bad english.

Many do suffer from same problem. I'm not an expert but I suspect that made in china ballasts pull to much energy from battery at startup.
first you can check the water level from battery.
secondly if the problem persists upgrade coil and charging unit to 220's I think it's direct fit.

But before going any further I'll suggest to post the same the topic in this thread:

                        +1 to abhi

My bike also feels super duper soft and a lot quieter after riding above 100 for some time.

Generally in winter bikes don't run very smooth. You can make them little smooth by increasing idling RPM. rotate idling screw to right side by about 90 to 120 degrees.

Some time back my clutch lever had about 1 to 2 CM of free play and gear shifting was a tough task, I even thought engine oil was dead. But thanks to abhi who suggested me to tighten clutch wire and now there's no free play remaining but gear shifting has become smooth like butter. Even I'm feeling that bike has become less noisy.

                        • @abhi : I'm postponing due service to next month because I don't have time because of exam. I have started believing that servicing can't be finished in a day. Instead I will visit SC to replace the speedo sensor. I'm thinking to replace rear brake pads with new...what do you think? How much do they cost?

The water level from the battery is normal, it is below max and min line.
I'm afraid I can't get the coils and charging unit of 220's because there is no 220s here (Indonesia)

Hmmm.. If you could'nt get the service done then do the following:

                              1) Clean and tighten the chain, lubing.

                              2) Clean the airfilter.

                              3) Clean the spark plugs.

                              4) Tighten front and rear forks.

Regarding brakes, I think that you should first try tightening the rear-brake. This, if the brake pads are okay, will solve the spongy brakes problem. The rear brake pads cost somewhere in between 200-300Rs. max.

Yes, 'Pulsarized' (P180 owner) has HID on his Pulsar 180 UG4 and it is working fine with no electrical problems. Initially, the HID uses too much of power, that might be the reason of battery indicator blinking. Check the same thing on longer route with HID on, probably ride it for 10-15kms and then check if the battery light is still blinking.
