  • Tyre For Pulsar 180 Classic

Guys, am planning to change my tyres on my classic pulsar 180. Which tyres you guys suggest? Its very rare to see discussion on pulsar classic 180 tyres and stuff in this new age..So help me out in this regard.
I'm looking for a tyre with good grip .MRF zapper is an option, if so what size?

The engine oil is seeping around the round rubber on the right top of the engine....
the engine oil level is well above the mark..
I think CBZ has poured in oil more than what is needed..
any ways for a temporary fix? iam thinking about M-seal ?
let me mention you that i live in a small town which has only one BajajSVC wherein the chances of getting your bike damaged is more probable than getting fixed.

Bajaj Fork oil is available in 350ml and costs 75 rs.

Try ANABOND it is a rubber sealent used for automotive purposes. Apply ANABOND on the area from where the oil is leaking. You will find this tube on the auto part shop.

I live in big city and used to go to BASS which is located around only 5-10 km from Bajaj Pulser chakan factory and still I don't have different thought from your's.

Why don't you put same post in a thread dedicated to tyres only...Remember there are better tyres than zappers.

I forgot the oil that each side needs, I think it is some 70 or 90ml (please confirm, each side does not needs 250ml IMO) is the capacity for one fork.

For the fork oil the heavier the oil weight the stiffer will be the suspension. I mean to say that fork oils also come by specs like engine oils. You could try out a heavier wt oil (5wt, 10wt....) for front forks if you think they are too soft.
I just checked the manual and it says 320 ml per leg.

Around 10000km we are supposed to change these:

                  Carburettor Rubber Duct / Carb O / H-Adj : 1
Steering Stem Bearing (If required) : 1
Front Fork Oil (per leg) : 320 ml
                  Rear Wheel Damper : 1
Drive Chain Lock and Link Set : 1
Engine Air Breather Tube : 1
Brake shoes / Pads (if worn out) : 1set
                  Brake fluid : 75ml

from above I don't know anything about Carburettor Rubber duct.
Drive chain is in very good condition so no change.
                  Rear wheel damper...what is it?
engine air breather tube...nobody changes it for eternity.
                  Brake shoes...next time.
Brake fluid...Will the changing it make front disk brake more responsive ?

Also air in NOS chamber need to refill.

My stupidity, Sorry. Need not to change brake shoes untill you feel any loose brakes. My brakes are still intact at 16000kms. Changing the brake oil will make a difference, make sure you bleed the old oil before filling new. Rear wheel damper is same as your rear shock-ups, you need to get them checked too.

                      • Guys, I have successfully installed a K&N filter on my Pulsar 180 UG3, alongwith a #125 Main carburettor jet from Karizma.

The K&N Conical Air Filter replaced the whole air filter box. The bike is performing well too. Sound at low rpm is not too cop-attracting or different from stock, but the throttle opened attracts some real attention...!!

The engine is running slightly richer and cooler than before, but performance is good.

                        Problems:

                        1. The air box is replaced so the right side cover has no lock on it anymore.
                        2. Mileage seems reduced, but I didn't measure it exactly so far...

                        Otherwise, its rocking now!

Thanks to themadrussian (thread starter) for helping me about this... Thanks bro!

EDIT: Can anyone point me to get a good exhaust for my P180, within 6-7k rupees in Delhi/ Jaipur/ Rajasthan?
My stock exhaust has developed cracks on it, and I want a performance exhaust which can be used on roads too...

                          • ^^ run masking tape across the middle of the indicator.

spray paint the rest matte black. let it dry. repeat twice.

gently pull off the masking tape about an hour later.
                            .

That's 320 ml for both the legs. You have to pour in half for one fork leg.
