Could be misalignment of brake pads, Could be bent front disc, Could be air bubbles in the brake line. Get the above things checked and then revert back.

      • i have learnt a very big lesson today. I was putting 3m engine oil addictive, when ever I used to get the engine oil replaced. Well the bike has done 1year and 2 months with 7348 km done so far. Today as on 20/2/2011 the bike started giving me trouble. Like there was no pickup or power on the bike. When pulling the acce.. the bike for struggling for power. I went to the mechanic of bajaj authorize service center. They said new clutch plates have to be put. I said go ahead when the bike got the new clutch plats Man she is doing wonders now. What pickup, speed power, smoothness. I must say never put the dam.. addictive on your bike never. It cost me 1000 rs.

I donot know how did you managed to get your clutch plates fried so early? May be there is some fault in your riding habit\style? That additive is not needed instead put a good oil.

First of all, if the pads are touching the disc than go and get the pads aligned aka remove and refit the pads. And then check if the wheel has free'd up.

For what you need the engine guard? For looks? if so then it's a bad idea. If for engine protection then too it's a bad idea. Bajaj's already run at their peak temperatures and you want to further increase it by adding engine guard? Well, it's your choice, if you want then yes it can be fitted to your bike too.

P.S: Stop thinking about experimenting with new TOYS. Let your bike be as much stock as possible. It will help you only. First, get your current problems rectified.

                          • Headlight issue

hi friends.i recently got some info from another biking forum that we can increase our p180's headlight performance by simply replacing the stock 35/35w bulb with a 60/55w bulb and the stater plate aka coil plate with that of the avenger 180 because avenger's stock bulb is a 60/55w and the only difference is that its coil produces more current than p180's coil.so by following this simple method its possible to support a 60/55w headlight bulb easily.

I already changed my bike's headlight bulb to a halonix 60/55w but the horn becomes a bit low while the light is on.The performance of the headlight has also increased upto some extent.so i just want sum expert opinion on this topic whether i should replace the coil or rollback to the stock setup.

Here's the thread , please have a look at it:

If you don't do night riding so frequently you don't need to replace coil. Just keep battery well charged.

If you do night riding frequently then, changing the coil is not sufficient for UG4 P180 as it's full DC. You will have to change the battery charging as well or it's utterly no use.

If you do night riding frequently and own old P180 then changing the coil will suffice.

Other way of increasing intensity without changing anything is lower your headlight and reflector.

                                +180 to abhi

Stop experimenting! and for heaven's sake don't copy other bikes ,p180 is a looker why do you want to spoil its looks, cheap mods will only make the bike look more uglier than it is!
You talking about fitting NOS ..are you kidding me? wanna get your engine fried? as abhi said... keep the bike as stock as possible..yes..if there is a good mechanic you can rely upon who knows what hes doing..then its up to you.
