  • just got a work done up on my baby changed the rim tape from white to blue check it up
    give your lovely suggestions. Yes the bike is going for a wash for the first time after 1 year and 2 months.

      they are as wide as original ones so yeah might be problematic in narrow lanes. As about vibrations I never faced in older nor in new.

        • Urgent help Required

          Hi Everyone,

          I am having a pulsar 150 2005 modelof my friend .He has drove more than 70000kms as he got transfer to another city so he gave me .I am NEW TO BIKE RIDING .Now that i have started driving i want to mantain that bike as he kept it in a very bad condition. Please help me

          Now one day suddenly my bike stopped so i showed it to the bajaj service center they told me that they had the change the head and the piston as there no use of rebour becoz it just has a diffenece of 700 to 800 between new and old one.So i got it done now .Now it is running properly .They put an normal mineral oil for the engine oil.

          Now the issue is
          1.my bike engine and the sparkplug gets heated up since i am new to bike riding i dont know whether it is normal or not .The Bajaj guy told me it is usual only but still i dont cant trust them .Please suggest

          2.I drive daily about 60kms .So is mineral oil good or should i switch it to another one . which one ???please also tell after how many kms does the engine specified should you goes...

          3.The bajaj people told me that my carborator has gone completely but some how they are cleaning it every time and giving as i am not ready to spend Rs3300 now (for carborator).

          Also please tell me if CAstrol Bike Zone Tidel park in Chennai is a good place for getting my service .or any other good place.

            i've also had piston changes in my p180 and i'd recommend not to switch to any other oil till atleast 1k kms...
            also ya after the engine job, the head will get heated very easily for starting 200-450 kms and after that it will work just fine...
            as you have had engine head job done i'd recommend you get oil changed at 500 kms at most and do use mineral oil only.....

            • here anybody tried to increase the hight of centre stand? (180 ug4)
              its tooooooo irritating me as all of u..............what will do guys ? s.c guys says that its a common problem in 180 ug4,,, and cant solve it.......i am tooo angry by this.............. what will do mates......................................

                what's irritating? I don't understand...Why do you want to increase the hight?

                  Well he is trying to tell here that when the bike goes over a large bump or a speed brakers there is a khut sound of the stand getting banged on the floor. Right well I guess there is only one thing to try is to increase the wheel base from 17" to 18" whats say. Otherwise there is no other alternative.

                    Actually we can see this in the other way around, the tough middle stand is actually saving other parts of the bike from getting scratched...right?

                    I think jasmin meant something else...he wants to play see-saw...just kidding

                      its tooo irritating.....not only in bump, but also in corners.....because i am toooo leaning towards the earth at that time stand all times touches the ground,,some times with huge sound and vibration...but it can b a show in nights , because it will produce fir on corners....there is so many guys push their stands for this fire..so we 180 owners can easily do it normally

                          Nice pictures. Although it does'nt looks from the pictures that your bike will have it's 1st wash now.

                            How many times I have to say this. Already 3rd time on this thread. No matter. Just look at the RHS part of your main-stand you will find that when your bike is not on stand the main-stand movement is hindered by a rubber part that is attached to the silencer, just try and remove that or get that hammered. That should solve your problem. Already done in a few Pulsar 180 UG4's of my friends, but not on mine as I donot have any problem with it.

                                What will be the bad effects? Apart from your stand getting heated up and a little banging on the silencer. Nothing I could imagine. My friends? well what could they say, I suggested them to do this and they already had no words apart from speaking what the local mechanics speaked nonsensely to
                                them, some welding and other blah blah... blah... heck..
