I searched for better brake pads but to no avail, i remember a while back you were also in search for better brake pads, any luck?.Also one more thing the brake fluid in our bikes in kind of light golden in colour but a brake fluid my friend bought is reddish-pink in colour. Is it like different colours mean different quality or is it just the colour difference?

do you have any photos from the time of modification...like from the r15 fairing modification...it will help us to know some ideas about this mod.....especially those who going for this mod...even i like this mod....

yes. stock P180's can go over 130-135.
what is the company saying top speed for ug4?...tried only 105 here..its tooo traffic here..but felt that awesome sound from the back at higher rpm...2 days back there was a race with a zma...i was going in 60s...then a k&n powered red zma overtaken me with loud sound and a breez.... (really he was noticed me just before the hump when i overtaken him.)
he was with a pillion and was cruizing with his k&n sound.... i was still in 60s...they became far away from me..... then they may thought that i am feared. then that time suddenly rain started slightly. i was without rain coat. then thought that "GOD GAVE ME BLESSINGS FOR RACE WITH THEM WITH THE RAIN". then there goes my acceleration....bhoooo....bike was simply climbing speed with sound....the sound was really awesome which was more impressive than their k&n....when reached near them realized that they are blocked behind 3 cars just before a hair pin. then overtaken them with a loud nice bassy sound just in moments and finished that hair pin with ease...that time there was sparking from my centre stand thing i think, it was scratching road...before at the moment when i reached correctly beside them just hold my clutch and accelerated two times just for the answer for them..vhoommm...vhooom...
from that race i realized how powerfull is my red jasmine to beat everyone...

This is probably not a new problem to me atleast, my 150 Classic Pulsar used to wobble, it felt like at higher speeds the rear is sliding on the road, like a boat on water. Many reasons like a faulty bearing, false tyre alignment, uneven pressure in tyres, BALD tyre, tyre lining not fitted rightly to the RIM etc..

our beloved ABHICHOTU, or CEASAR knows better than them..heheh..
Nothing like specific, but all of us here are to share knowledge, other experienced guys are just superB.

abhichotu's covered most of the possibilities of the wobble.

if u've done 27K... in addtion to a proper service...
u'll prolly need to change a few parts.

            - clutch plates/friction plates/pressure plates (approx INR. 1100 in all)
            - chain n sprockets (approx INR. 1200)
            - new rear suspension (approx INR. 1600)
            - replace front fork springs (approx INR. 110)
            - spark plugs (approx INR. 200)
            - has ur air filter been changed?
            - check swingarm alignment/bearings/bush
            - replace tyres
            - replace coneset (approx INR. 285)
            - bleed front brakes (replace brake fluid) (approx INR. 60)

                Green Meanie - Design Process

i used old R15 plastic parts for the mock-up.
(didn't want to scratch/break new ones)

That mod required some serious amount of work and patience + creativity. I don't know how did you managed to do that. From where did you sourced the old R15 parts? And how did you managed to do all this?

P.S: That LIME green color looks damn SEXY!

                      u're telling me.

i had to clear my schedule for a week after i realized the work involved once i had started on day 1.

when i first thought of doing the mod...
i thought it would end up being pretty straight-forward... i was wrong.

i bought old yamaha fairing parts + old headlight for about 800 bucks.
used it for the mock up. from a used auto market place in bombay.

Day 1: stripped down the front of my bike
put the R15 parts in place... used some nylon string to align everything.
had to find a balance between the distance between the top of the front mudguard...
the distance between the back of the front wheel n the lower-inner part of the engine cowl...
and the distance between the handlebar and the top of the fairing.
every time i adjusted one... the other would go out of whack.

Day 2: welded in the main "stay" on the front T.
                      then the other 5 brackets.

Day 3: alignment. n putting all the collars/grommets in place.
every mounting point has a rubber "washers".

Day 4: the handlear. took almost a whole day to get right.
decided to mount it upside down for best results.
also replaced the hollow bars with solid ones.

Day 5: replaced the wiring harness n switches.
new tyres. new switches. new levers.

                      Day 6: Paint-job

                      Day 7: Sunday

before i started this mod... i dismissed it as a no-brainer.
2 hours into day 1 tho... i realised i really had to put on my thinking hat.

i wouldn't recommend this mod to anyone for the simple reason that it's too
much of a nightmare to actually carry out. but it's worth it.
(worth all the cuts, scrapes, bruises, pinches n electric shocks)

it's been about a year n half since the mod.
and it has less (read as "no fairing vibes") fairing vibes than a stock P180.

Yamaha's part quality is top notch!

from where you got those parts for 800 only?.....here after market full r15 fairing kit costs 3500-5000.
there is expert mechanics meant for the fairing modifications only...already seen one mechanic working hear with one cbz xtreame and two pulsars for this aim...he is asking 3500 rupees for this mod...his work is nice...is it ok?....

i bought the parts from a place called Grant Rd. in bombay.

but please keep in mind that i just used the parts for a mock up.

once the mock up was done i put in new parts.
(coz the old part come with their own share of scratches, cracks n broken/chipped mounting points)

if repaired they will work temporarily... but will result in a vibey bike later on.

                          a new R15 headlight costs 2200

all the new fairing parts + visor + black panels cost around 3800-4200.

plus all the hex bolts, clips, collars and grommets etc will cost you about 4000 rupees.

i have no idea how he's asking for just 3500 for the mod.
is that for only his labour cost? or does that include parts as well?

this mod can be done cheap...
but within a couple of months the modded parts will rattle like crazy.

and you will regret it. there's a guy around where i live... who saw my bike...
and went to a local mod guy to do the mod. he charged 18 grand. with paint.
the bike is now lying unused. n some of the mounting bolts have eaten thru
the plastics. all coz of cost cutting.

i spent in excess of 30 grand on this mod.
and since i did the mod myself for myself... i didn't cut corners.

yes... it'll cost u... but my bike is as reliable n even more noise free than when it was stock.

i'll post the price of all the parts i used for the mod.
parts + paint + welding + replaced parts.

                          gimme a few days.
