  • Had a real bad experience at the bajaj SVC. Went there to get the rubber coupling replaced in the rear wheel. The mechanic had come and dismantled the rear wheel and after that the real drama had begun. He had no knowledge on how to fix back the rear wheel. He was trying real hard ,went back into the room, gone through some manual, came out and tried again. After seeing all this i told him to just step away from the bike and not touch it again.Called the manager and told him to get the senior mechanic(who was on leave today). Was charged rs 180 ( rs 127- rubber coupling, labour cost 50 rs).

then he told, next service will be at 13500kms.(according to mannual its at 14,500, i am really confused after all this) asked him about the oil they are using.then told that its bajaj oil.now bike is there, i am at office.. will take it at 2o clock. dont know what will be the smoothness with this oil..

Is that a new oil from bajaj or the same old bajaj oil.. any information on this?

        • synthetic oil for 380 rupees?

synthetic oil needs to be changed at 3500 kms?

          prolly semi-synth.

has the bike become significantly smoother?

s.c head says that its normal in every 10,000kms.
oil is crap i think. they says that this is new 10,000 oil with slightly modified.

              • the prices of spares seems normal.

why would you agree to pay them labour if it was a free service?

xionite, s.c head says that labour charges is chargeable 1 after a service. is it so?
notice the labour charge its not a rounded figure

no. bike is purchased from this same s.c. they are very cheat persons i think..
during last service bought oil from out side and poured it at s.c. by doing this they told me that i will lost my warranty. but the joke is already they were not used bajaj oil which is recommended by company at that service.
                      really by this people.

so, dont you paid labour cost?
what to do to take action against them.

                        • ^^ they obviously can't charge you for a "free" service.

my cousin n i bought P180's at the same time.

two years... after the warranty was over...
he gave his bike to pro-biking for a regular service.
and he need a paint touch up for a ding in his tank... (they said it would take a week to fix)

                          a few days later...
the PBK-SC guys call me up and say that there was something wrong with the piston...
(the bike was fine when we dropped it off)

they had already opened it up... and the head block/piston and a few other parts needed to be changed.

                          and then the guy goes...
"sir... the bill will come to 4800 something"...

                          i was pretty ticked off.

                          cut a long story short...
i told them whatever they did... they did without my permission...
and that i wouldn't pay for ANYTHING and that if they had a problem with that...
they could keep the bike with them forever.

got the bike back in 3 days. i perfect condition.
they didn't even bill me for the service. or the tank paint-job.

but i must say... i've never had any issues related to quality of service when i used to
get my bike worked on at the SK Bajaj ProBiking service centre in new bombay.

that was between Dec 2006 and Dec 2008.

                          • so, in short, do you like to say that pro biking centers are best for service?
its 25kms away from my city.
but i am ready to go there for better result.
shall i take action against them?

                            • based on my personal experience... i would say yes.

                              25kms takes less than 15 mins on a P180.

making an appointment a few days in advance would ensure that you get
a single digit "roll number"... that way your bike will be done by 12pm.

n since you've already paid for the free service... it's prolly not worth the effort.
unless you want to hold on to the principle of them taking customers for a ride.
