please check the chain sprocket cost...as per your details they are qouting around 1300, well actually they cost only 800 - 1000 max and installation another 50 odd bucks....But my point here is why to go for bajaj made (diamond chain brand)...why dont you try ROLON brand which is famous and cheap too (500- 800) and the quality is 100 times better than stock chain sprocket kit.

Also when you change the kit you might need to install a rubber bushing in the wheel which is located near brakes of the rim, i forgot the name of the part but there is a need. Its a small rubber spoke type structure.

About ROLON you might get it any local auto part shop, Ask Bajaj, they might have stock!

Any idea on how much the rubber bush alone costs??Bcoz my mechanic had told me that chain sprocket is fine and he needs to replace a rubber bush kind of thing for smooth gear shifts. Is it true??

Ahh rubber bush is the word..bravo!
Yes, it costs around 100 odd bucks, bajaj manufactures one of its own. Use that cz its preferred. The MRP will be on the pack itself.
Yes you need to replace that if its torn, i mean the joints are no more present.
You can check that on your own too.
Put your bike on main stand in netural gear.
check for movement of tire, observer carefully now,
When you rotate the tire is the bush moving first then the tire???if this is so then it means the bush is no more active and a replacement is required..
If the tire rotates immediately with the bush also means its perfect.

Neways this wont cost more than 150Rs. Its a must to replace it after 10k kms...

what are the things to notice after this service?
              Change of spark plugs
              Change of Air filter sponge
Change of rear and front brake pads and shoes
              Clean fuel tank
Check for wear and tear of chain sprocket
              Check tappet settings
Check battery charge (most svc dont do this)
              Check for Cone set alignment
Check for Clutch Plates, Change if there is a huge drop in acceleration and mileage
Tires i dont think they are worn at 10,000 kms cz mine are still good and corner well apart from being 28,000kms old!

Pretty much is covered, if any missing please correct me!

Any stock 180 UG4 has ROLON chain and sprocket. My bike too has ROLON chain sprocket and they are expensive. I don't know about any Bajaj made 'diamond chain brand', tell me one.

Horrible work by the SVC guys.Could he not see the chain case touching the tyre??

                          • @arjunb: Your sprocket seems tobe heavily WORE-off (as seen in picture). How did this happen? I suspect that this might only happen under some serious riding or negotiation in maintenance of chain.

                              • It has been clearly mentioned about the parts that can be replaced under warranty in the bike manual booklet.

I remember my third free service bill was around 300 rs.
