@abhi--- every bike starts to scream after 110(talking about <200 segment)... p180 goes all the way screaming to 125 ..doesn't make a difference....these engines are not hotshot engines...they're indigenous.. we can't expect more from them can we? it reaches 125~127 with some effort and lot of screaming...

It's like 'Blipping the throttle' which is an indication of revv limiter kick-in.

and if you're implying that the engine will seize if you push it further...
that's not entirely true.
the rev-limiter will automatically kick in...
you don't have to worry about your engine seizing.
i've ridden for 2-3 kilometers at a time at FULL throttle. no problem.

I think 110-111 is good enough speed for an indian 150 that's specifically tuned for a balance between fuel economy and power.

No buddy cost around 500 to 700 only (atleast in pune). The diamond brand is new and they are providing for new pulsars. They have bad quality (Chain breaks, and seal leaks). Stay away from that brand, they also manufacture chain sprays. So not worth the value buddy.

Sir, this is your intution that something can go wrong at 10K kms. If this is the case then Bajaj would be selling stuff with only 10k Kms warranty, why have they extended to 30K Kms, is it for customers like you which do think that 10K is the mark for parts to get damaged, Sorry sir but this is not got anything to do. If you so hate bajaj then why wait till Jan, why did you buy a pulsar in the first place if the hatred is more than commuting and using the vehicle for emergencies. Let me tell you that Bajaj is still preferred and operated in rural areas (we dont come from them but definitely love the way they are helping every Indian to make his dream a reality of owning two wheels)

Chain sprockets depend on the type of speed and maintenance you carry. As mentioned you ride around 40-50kmph. And you lube it with EP90 gear oil but i would surely ask you to clean the chain first then apply lube. Well let me tell you something every morning i red line the bike to 130 thats like 90% more of what you ride every sec, every minute, every hour. I lube the chain every week, yes its a machine. I saw the pics in the next post and I must say you do not maintain the bike well. Be it honda or even a ducati it will wreck at 10,000 kms if the maintenance is that bad.

Yes you need to change the rubber coupling when changing chain sprocket set. Cost around 100 odd rs or max 150Rs.

Yep 10,000kms is so not the life span. The performance of my bike chain is still the same and perfect as per a new bike. (Man i love your green wonder)

Upgrade magneto coil to a thick wire one, then go for a 55\60w halogen or use a HID+projector.(best bet)

You could use coil from APE, which is a direct fit and perfect for your job. If your total budget is about 1.5 k then go straight for HID.

Guys, guess what??!!! Bajaj is launching a new pulsar with only cosmetic changes in august. And a totally new pulsar based on a completely new platform in the last quarter of this financial year. I heard the wholly new pulsar is being developed with the help of austrian bike manufacturer KTM!
