according to me,porting will increase breathing of intake and exhaust so it keep engine cooler, polish head and port also good for engine health, isn it?not going for other modification like free flow etc. Here is not going to increase compression ratio.

indeed polishing head is good and so is porting, makes engines efficient, but until and unless you switch to a tuned FFE as well, the engine won't perform 100% IMO because breathing means intake and outlet, but the stock exhaust restricts outlet to a certain limit. Improvement will be there, but not the much it is supposed to. Heard that porting makes engine smoother. There was someone who had sent me a PM relating to his 200cc big-bore for his 180 long time back. Don't remember the name but if he's listening, hope he helps...Originally posted by Ramborider View Postaccording to me,porting will increase breathing of intake and exhaust so it keep engine cooler, polish head and port also good for engine health, isn it?not going for other modification like free flow etc. Here is not going to increase compression ratio.

i think it will be better to use recommended grade oil.
.
need your commends about it please.
already my bike runs in bajaj oil
.but i felt it as smooth.
.no problems.Yeah, guys. 7100 wasn't available here in Delhi even in May when I went looking for it. There're two Motul dealers here in Delhi and I got it from the one at Karol Bagh. In May, both the dealers said that they dont acquire 7100 since no one buys it. But this time when I went to buy my regular 5100, the dude had it. He said they'll now be keeping it because a lot of P220/P180 owners were demanding it.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostGreat man! from where did you sourced it? I thought that it is not available in India? How's the performance compared to 300V? And please do mention the price.
The printed price on it was Rs 725. He gave it for Rs 700.
The gear shifts are very SLIGHTLY stiffer than what it were in 5100/300V. Again, very slightly. And its been only two days and probably 30-odd kms.
Bike runs phenomenally great now. But that could also be cause I had the filter and the plugs changed.
The engine did seem a bit more rev friendly when I was on 300V but the difference is barely noticeable. Let's hope this doesn't pull a disappearing act like 300V did. Many people said that 300v lessens in quantity pretty quickly (within 1000-1500 kms).
I have a lot of respect for the French now after using this product man. The gears quite literally feel as smooth as that of Unicorn's whenever I'm on Motul.

Update on my bike: It got stolen last night.
Even after an entire day, I still cannot come to terms with it. The monetary loss aside, it was the sentimental value that is hurting me the most. Absolutely devastated. I know you guys are the only ones who will probably understand what I am feeling. I really hope something like this never happens to anyone.
BTW, does anyone have any experience with insurance payouts? Mine hasn't completed even a year. My bike was insured for Rs 61,500. Am I going to get the full amount or will they deduct from that as well. Insurer is New India Insurance.
And if someone could share what to do from their experience, I'd really be grateful for your inputs. BTW, I have lodged an FIR.

That's disgusting, these thieves just never give-up.
First thing that one has to do is call 100 from the spot at the same time when you get informed about the theft. Then lodge a complaint and then call the insurer company and lodge a complaint there too. They will then follow the Police and you too. After the Police finally declares that they are closing the matter as they could'nt recover the bike, the insurer company will validate and pay you the bike's Insured Value.
For more information look at the below thread:
I hope you get the desired very soon. Those thieves will be wrecked by something known as GOD sometime in their lives for sure.

adjusting idling rpm...
very sad thing happened here..
.
living without our bike
.
when, how, and why happened this?. it was not locked? just want to know. dont know about the quality of our bikes lock.then it will be help full for others.
yesterday happened a strange thing with my bike.one of my friend took my bike for a rode. some time back he returned and told about the headlight shake.already i was very bothered about it.
then he just parked bike and gone.
after some time when i try to start it, it not started
.this was my first starting problem with my bike. then after trying some cranks, it came to life with very low rpm with only 400,500rpm...it was impossible to ride it with that. yesterday rode it with very stress. then reached home.as today is sunday, i caet go to s.c.
then searching started for this idle screw. found it, dont if its the real idle screw.
. but when turning it rpm varies..it was a screw which can be adjusted using our fingers, no need for screw driver then set it to 1000 rpm. now no problem. bike is cool now
the screw which i adjusted is near volume control screw, with some thread and spring on it to hold it which is faced to earth.

do inform me friends if its not idle screw

I can't seriously imagine life with Bike stolen. Let's hope police will find it.
It's a warning to all of us. These bikes are easy to fiddle with and hence we should put our own security.

[QUOTE=lockhrt999;675227]@JR: Yes that's idle screw. (see in blue)
i know about volume control screw. actually there was no picture with me to show you the particular idling screw. so just posted this picture which was taken from net. that blue ringed one is adjusted.so its correct
.
i know....dont like to turn it.it is in its factory setting. never touched it.And that volume control screw you are referring to is AFR screw. Never tweak it unless you are sure of what you are doing.
thanks lockhrt...
you are mistaken..now you may got it.Originally posted by Ghost11 View PostThat is the AFR screw you adjusted and not the idle screw.
