You could continue using that oil in your bike and change it after 1500kms, there's no visible\short term harm that is being observed other than (clutch slippage) which I suspect is minimal. Pour it and ride, if you feel any clutch slippage (similar experience when your clutch plates have finished their life) then change oil, if not, then don't bother; Use it. SO, the bottom line is POUR IT IN YOUR BIKE HAPPILY.Originally posted by JASMINE RIDER View Postmates clear it how u determined that this oil is for dry clutch? so i cant use it? after many stress of searching this oil got one bottle after booking, now cant use it?

Instead get the oil changed outside or if you insist hard on changing it at SC then get it changed in front of your eyes.Originally posted by JASMINE RIDER View Postyeah,,,,going to do that....

Is this the same thing ?MOTUL . Try not to use this oil in ur bike dude, notice the main feature this oil boast about- '' The high performing anti-wear additive reduces internal frictions and increases engine durability". This is a good thing for ur car engine, but the high dose of friction modifiers in it will cause ur clutch to slip(less performance, and high clutch wear- definitely not a good thing for ur bike) its only 200bucks dude.relax.Originally posted by JASMINE RIDER View Postwritten like this, 2000 multipower. for petrol cars. sae 20w50.
conforms to API SG/CD.
IS IT OK FOR MY 180 UG4?

Btw .u can get motule synth-semi synthetic oils for bikes from mototec thrissur ,near railwaystation. Check there.everybody dies, but not everyone LIVES...

Jasmine, i might have misled you on my last comment. I meant that oils meant for cars should not be used in wet clutch bikes. I think i read this in the Engine Oils Universal thread.
Also, if you plan to have the engine oil changed at the SVC, you should ask them if they will change it according to your times. Many a times, they will refuse to indicate in the service record that they have changed the oil if you dont buy that bajaj oil from then. be very sure of it first.Last edited by VD17; 03-11-2011, 12:01 AM.

I would not go into deep otherwise a whole MAHABHARAT about using diesel engine oil in petrol cars will be started. In laymans terms, diesel oil has higher detergent contents to deal with excessive sludge build up and some special anti-foaming agents that are common to only diesels and that might clean a petrol engine so well that it will hamper working. Again I have no proofs, all this GYAN is based on personal experiences and theories read all over.
If its Petrol oil one could use it for short-term, because there are many people I know who are using Castrol GTX for petrol cars in their bikes and running happily (although they did'nt know about consequences and neither do they care). Regarding clutch plates going for toss, one might try it and if clutch slippage found then change it SO SIMPLE, Ain't it?

@jasmine: Clear out the point man, we all are discussing like idiots here and you're still sleeping? Tell us what you did with oil, either you made Noodles out of it or filled your bike's tummy with it.
