      @10000KMS:

Change Air filter, spark plugs, chain cleaning. Improper oiling and dirty chain also produces excessive vibrations and noise.

now coming to the point, s.c head already told me that its not bajaj dtsi oil. so already they r using any other oil, but when i bought my own oil warranty goes...what hell is this $^*&%&(%...

now next time going to ask them about the oil they r using, and will record it in my phone just for an evidence against them
Dont develop any bossy attitude over them! Everyone curse their boss and do things with lot of frustration and i am sure that you dont want your bike to be handled with some agression! So maintain a good relation with them and make them understand whats given in the manual!

        OR

Go and get a size 19 spanner and use it for changing the oil at your home... I do it at my home only....
Bro where do you dispose the oil? I would love to do it at home! Its not eco friendly if we dispose engine oil just like that.

        am nikhil, from bangalore..
        i ride a pulsar 180 ug4, 2010 model.. it has run 10k kms.....
i have been experiencing some probs with the bike...
        a few to name are:
        1. the engine feels very rough and does not rev freely, when forced, it makes a lot of noises, like as though am running the engine dry(w/o oil).
        2. i have been getting a mileage of around 38, but the bike doesn go as fast as a pulsar 180 must be going.... feels very stressed..
        3. there is some kind of noise in the engine, sounds like some chain is getting churned, even at idel.. the SC guys said its engine knocking and nothing can be done to fix it....

hoping to see some replies and opinions about the issues in my bike....
        regards
        Welcome to Xbhp!!

They are grilled to Pulsars by DNA! But it will reduce once you get the oil changed

Which svc? If you want some magicians to handle your bike go to Autoservice, they do a fab job! My personal experience with them has been very good..

Yes, I do care about environment. So far I have 11 bottles filled with used engine oil drained from my bike. I drain the oil in a container, fill new oil and then store the old oil in the bottle of new oil, that's what I have done so far. Thanks for your concern.

              • i got my bike serviced at autoservice only... all my free services were done by them only..... but am not really happy with the outcome.... from one service to the next, my bikes smoothness has reduced.. gears are also sometimes hard, need to put some force to change them, unlike before. and also i find the headlight output inadequate when on the highways.. had tried a hid kit for a few trips, but the battery was getting strained and the fuse kept blowing out at regular intervals, so got the stock bulb fitted back.
any suggestions to increase the headlight power??
thanks a ton for all the replies ppl....!!!!

                    PROs:

                    1) Less frequent air top-up needed.

                    2) Cool tyres on high speed runs and in HEATED OVEN like climate.

                    3) Some people say the riding comfort is increased.

                    CONs:

                    1) Expensive than normal AIR, but worthy if your tyres does'nt leak air.

Thats nice. But where will you dispose off the containers? Because i cant keep loading my garage with oil bottles ,I have been allotted a very small place in the shed.

No bike will feel the same after 10000kms the way it was initially. I dont know about your odo reading. Visit Autoservice and tell them the problem. They will surely attend to you

Regarding your headlamps, dont instal HIDs. All people i know owning Pulsars dont have a good experience with 35W HIDs. I really dont know how far the lighting is, because i run on 55W projectors . If you ask me, get them installed man! Its worth 4k!

                      Performance of Nitrogen is good.

If you ask me, nitrogen makes too much of a change. Since we(220 and 180) run on 120 sectioned tyres, we will require a smooth ride since our suspension cant work beyond its limits. Due to nitrogen,

                      1. the smoothness of ride increases.

                      2. the tyre life increases

                      3. your tyres dont heat up like they do when you fill in normal air. I am astonished about this fact

                      4. the fatigue of the rider reduces by 15-20%

Yes, its expensive than normal air. But the durability is very good. It does not drain out even after 6 months. Its better to get it tested every 1.5months.

Yes, I sell them off to local garages who repair three wheeler auto rickshaws. They take from me @10-20 Rs per liter. This oil they use to fill in auto rickshaws again. This is the best way I have got, if you have a better one then please do tell me.
