I'm not very sure of the exhaust part but a lot of people have done the K&N mod + upjetting on their stock silencers without any problems. I guess a more free flowing exhaust is always better but i dont think the stock exhaust will be much of a bottle-neck in the combustion cycle.

When you plonk a K&N, it allows in more air than the stock air-filter. Now, each engine is optimized to run a certain air-to-fuel volume ratio. Putting a K&N filter drastically increases your air volume but your fuel volume stays the same. This is when the engine runs lean. A lean engine will run much hotter and stresses the engine to unhealthy degrees.Originally posted by vasu.dc View Post
You need to replace the main jet to a larger size and also re-tune the carb's pilot circuit through the AFR screw. What jets i need to replaced ? Can you suggest what is tuning i required to do ? Last time when i checked with the Mechanic and guy who installed said ,this set up does not require up jetting i asked them several times regarding this up jetting..

@vasu: +1 to VD17 whatever he said is very cleanly correct. Try up-jetting the main jet to Karizma's one. And don't worry about the Exhaust it is built to last.
20w40 is a strict NO NO... Try asking at the Kerela g2g thread as suggested by Ghost11.Originally posted by JASMINE RIDER View Postfriends yesterday searched for motul oil...but didint find it here in kerala, trichur. here anybody knows where it get in kerala? any one here from trichur?
