    1. Oil Seal changed thrice.
    2. Engine head reset twice.
    3. Oil leakage from the glass below the engine , meant for checing the oil level changed twice.

My engine doesn;t sound much smooth and has addtional sound from engine, resulting which I tend to change oil in less interval. May be wrong but had a concept there might be something wrong with engine during running in so dont take much initerval. Also in that duration only oil becomes too dark.

Looks like you have got multiple problems with the engine. I think you have been correct to change the oil at just 1k considering engine is leaking the oil. Do fix those leakages. Also check if the bike is smoking, if it's smoking that also means oil is being consumed during the combustion.

About handle shaking, I think the bearings have gone kaput. If the rim was bent then you would have sense the wobbling no matter your riding solo or with pillion. If the handle is shaking or has developed play, bearing must be worn out, really can't say about cone set though.

Thanks a tonne for your valuable input. Smoke is not coming out as you have mentioned. Fixed all those issues of oil leakage. I have just put Motul 5100 15W50 and waiting to drain it at 1500k to check if it is ok. If found ok from next time onwards I will increase the drain period. I am suspecting my cone set has gone kaput as there is a pretty bad khad khad noise also, it comes when I handle roughly over some bad pothole or say bump kind of thing. My mech was suggesting for a sprocket change also. Not sure about that will check my sprocket today for some mark (red) in sprocket suggesting for a change.

one thing i noticed from the forum as well as from couple of friends is that, parts tend to get faulty once bike goes in for servicing...and require replacement...

I must thank you for the last couple of posts sicne my P150 too is giving me abnormal noise with the steering, coneset gone I believe. The other thing I am pissed off by are the brakes. They aren't that good.

However, can someone tell me the teeth count of front and rear sprocket for P180 and P150 of current gen? I am planning to change my chain set to that of P180 if that's feasible. Primary criteria is to reduce RPM at higher speeds without compromising the acceleration too much. I am not a signal to signal Valentino Rossi and I am completely fine with that. Mine is UG 4.5 and post this, neither P180 nor P150 has seen any technical change.

              Hey guys for a 2013 Pulsar 180..
I want to change the headlamp to round ones like the classic model...
is it possible and if possible how much would it cost?
              what all mods are required?

i'll be working on this same mod on a P180UGIII by the end of the year.
I have no idea how much each part costs individually.

the whole job will cost under 2K or so, using OEM parts.

the most work required for this mod is making a bracket for the digital speedo because the UGIII doesn't come with one.

will post the details once i'm done with the mod.

Its will be up to 3000Rs use royal Enfield head lamp its a good quality one..think of it if you are affordable ..it will be 2450 in our state. .and the rads and bolts for fixing it can be bought from any bike accessories shop .and in the head of royal Enfield you can use pulsars bulb instead of stock. And there is a problem while doing this the meter and instrument cluster will look dam bad with it ..so you can't use it want to find out the older model one for the suitable look and style. Once i had changed my ride too but after few months I have return to the stock because of instrument cluster its an usefull thing ..fuel gage..

i have completed 1000km on my new pulsar. changed oil at 250km(moto gold 20w40), 500km(bajaj 10000), and now at 1000km, i changed it to motul 3100 gold 20w50. i wanted to know wether this oil is mineral or SS. the retailer told me its mineral, but i doubt it. suppose its SS, will it affect the engine in a bad way? Also my mechanic poured some leftover oil on the air filter, is it normal?

That's why I learnt the tech know how myself.

For 20k run bike, brake calipers and shoes may need to be changed. Check the manuals of both bike to know number of teeth.
Now to really feel the difference the difference between old and to be replaced sprocket should be 2-3 teeth. You may not get the required change with just 1 tooth gone. And if you go lower than 1 tooth then you will also need to take one link out from the chain to retain the tension.
So people generally opt for changing front socket instead of rear one. Because 1 tooth gain at front socket is approx equal to the 3 teeth loss at rear sprocket. And you don't even need to take any link out of the chain.

What will happen to fairing? Is the engine overheating?

                          3100 = mineral
5100 = Semi Synthetic (Single dose of cleaning agent)
7100 = Full synthetic (Single dose of cleaning agent)
300 = Full Synthetic (Double dose of cleaning agent) = not recommended for Pulsar 180 as it will leak it.

At 2k, Change the oil to 5100 and stick to it for the lifetime, replace it every 3k kms.

Some oil is sprayed on the air filter so that it'll be able to hold dust particles for long time.

The manual doesn't tell the number of teeth and that's where I was stuck. The thing is the service center folks tell that its not possible to fit in 220's or 180's chain sprocket to a 150. 'Some thickness of the sprocket' and 'grooves where the sprockets are bolted' issue as they said. Chain sprocket come as a set, right? I came to know from Vijay(Blackthorn) from P220 ownership page that P180 UG4 uses 14F, 38R setup. If my 150 comes with a 15F, 39R, I will definitely jump to 180's setup.

Thanks for the input bro. That was really a technical input I wanted.
