where can i get the vinyl stickers of the seat cowl for the bike? at a cheaper rate than the showroom, they are saying, it'll cost 200 rs + service charges.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostThere is no separate pilot lamp cover. hi friends,
i am new to this thread,after waiting for almost a month i finally got my account validated from xbhp admin.I own a p180 cocktail wine red,its 8 mnths old and i have completed 6500 kms.Right from the begnng my bike was not running like a 180,i followed runnin period n precautions very diligently till 2000 kms bt then also my bike seems to b reluctant in goin above 70 ,it vibrates and engine bcomes too hot also i thought engine will take time to open up so i left it so,i try to take it to speeds above its gear changn speeds once in 15 days bt dat doesnt work.
after my 2nd service wen dese prblems didint go i take it to sc and he told me that clutch fun is making problems so sc guy opened up my clutch and discovered dat pressure plates were totally dry bcoz they were uneven therefore didnt allow oil to pass through them,so he changed them .
after dat bike was smhw smoother vibrations reduced pretty much bt bike didnt go after 25 in ist gear it kindo saturates ,i didnt knw wat is d prblem nw.plz help xbhpians....
2 days back i got my 3rd service done and i have problems in gear shifting ,i feel gears are partially shifted ,i cannot feel the proper shifting of gears ,its smwhat annoys me,tough bike didnt take time to reach 70 bt still i believe my gears are not workin properly,i told this to sc guy n he adjusted the freeplay and told that its fine ,bt i m nt satisfied...

Check the spark plugs,tappet settings and carbeurettor,they may be the culprit as was the case with me.I too have wine red ug4.

After rectifying a few problems before you are facing two problems now: bike doesn't go beyond 25 in 1st gear and stiff gear change.Originally posted by sgsarthak View Posthi friends,

Normally bike can go upto 40 in 1st gear. Before getting hands too dirty(major work) lets go through some basic stuff.
Tell us:
What's the color of spark plug tips? Is it brownish black? black or whitish?
What's the top speed you can achieve in 5th gear and 4th gear?
If innards are fine then the clutch cable must be too slack and hence stiff gear change. Tighten it yourself or from outside machanic.

1.i have not seen the spark plug by myself..bt sc guy told it is fine..no issues...
2.i have taken it to 105 one time in 5 gear....n nrmally 4th gear speed is 60 after dat bike feels hard even then smtime i have changed to 5th gear at 70 from 4th gear.
3.that sc guy has increased the play of clutch calble,a bit better gear shift bt dat too m nt satisfied...
moreovr i have met a mechanic tday he rode my bike and told me that initial ist gear pickup is fine bt wen my bike goes it lacks pickup and resist to go further...he says carburetter needs sm tuning and he says theres enugh fuel carburetter is supplying to engine thats why no pickups and dese prblems..
i have not got my afr screw and carburetter fiddled till nw and smhw hesistate to do it so also....moreovr i dnt knw wedr this mechanic is sayn rite or not...

tappets are done spark plugs are fine ,bt carburetter is not touched from d beginn...i dnt knw bt m hesistated to get it done as it z on factory set....sm guys told me there shudnt be any prob wid carburetter...
how old is ur bike and since when u startd facing prblems and hw u gt ur problems resolved??

See the thing is, if you want our help then please help us too a little. Why do you think we have a magic wand in our hands? If you want our opinions then do tell us what's been asked. Please don't forward the mechanics words. Take a spark plug out yourself, shoot and upload picture here yourself. When I asked the top speed, I was asking what was the bike's speed when bike was maxed out (also you'll have to lean on the tank) and I certainly didn't ask when you maxed out.
