Thanks maaady. I also heard of engine making noise like anything after certain rpm range.
I like the luks of pulsar than honda's. Otherwise wid have gone for the honda. Also, no full DC set up which is needed these days.

Also, how reliable the pulsars are ? Some say that after using it for 2 years, it will be gone ? Is that true ?

About pains, Currently I have P180 and Suzuki Access. I have left my days with persistent back pain long time ago. And since I'm riding this bike all is well with me, infact this back has cured my back pain. My back starts paining temporarily when I'm on Access for more than 20kms and on the other hand I have ridden this pulsar 200 km in single sitting without breaking any sweat.
There will be wrist pain for first week with all clip on handlebar bikes.

Mine bike is 4 years old and very dusty. But it's at mechanical perfection. Engine has become so smooth that you'll think it's running on battery. Even after taking it out after weeks, it starts at first crank. Lots of torque is available in every gear. Still does 129 kph at any time you ask and it still is 0-60 5 sec bike.

So if you ask would I swap my bike with newer one if given free, I'd say "Naah, mine's just better".

who all said these things to you...??? These things depend on how one keeps his ride, driving styles etc. or after a really desired service... or any of the configuration goof ups that the local mechanics do...

You know the pulsar sales statistics right...??? which wouldn't be there if there wouldn't have been a reason for people to buy it... So find your reason(s)...

For a perfect job, nuts from both right and left sides need to be loosend/tightened in equal turns so that rear wheel will remain parallel all the time. In a hasty job, mechanics don't have time, they don't keep those nuts in equal turns causing the rear wheel not to remain in straight position. And as wheel isn't in alignment, the sprocket attached to it will also won't stay in alignment.

You need to understand it yourself to describe what's happening to a mechanic otherwise he'll think you're crazy.
          I'm not a mechanical engineer.

Tank = is made up of metal and hence the color is needed to be sprayed on.
Flaps = is made up of plastic and the color you're seeing is the actual shade of the plastic. No color is sprayed on.

Otherwise both stuff are sprayed with the same lacquer to acquire same finish. So in the end you get same finish with different colors, if looked closely.

Even the new ones when they take my bike's ride they say how is your bike much smoother than our's even being an year old... and I just smile and say "Coz That's a Pulsar and its my Pulsar... You wont get it...!!!"
Exacctly, I too feel really uncomfortable and Unconfident while driving my activa... I really rake care while at turns... no tilting-shilting... "bhaiya seedhe seedhe modo" and I also feel really vacant behind my back... and when driving a PuLsy... it gives me soooooo much comfort that I feel I can ride it all day and night only if the fuel doesn't go out or I don't reach my destination...

You know what I've actually fallen for her...

9.2 half means 4.6 full turns. Prajwal was right. Before you changing it to something else get the air filter cleaned and also spray into the carb, because it's essential to get proper tune.
After that set the screw to 2.5 full turns and ride the bike for a day. Observe the changes.

@all: Another thing, always start the bike with choke pulled no matter what season it is. Keep the bike idling for 30 seconds before starting your day on the roads.

                      Hi lockhrt999 and Prajwalmd,
Tell me what is the mileage that you get per litre when you ride your bike in the range of 75-85 kmph with proper gear changes in proper RPM range.
                      Thanks for all your inputs.
                      Cheers!!

You're asking highway, with proper gear changes and conservative riding you can even go near to 50 kmpl.
I don't get that because on highway I switch to sports mode. 3rd gear upto 60, 4th gear upto 80-90 and 5th after that. I get about 40 kmpl on highway.

upto 50 kmpl is not possible, I guess. Even the P150 gives mileage in that range. So definitely, 40 kmpl is what I expect.
For your sports mode ride, it should be in the range of 35 kmpl

If you do constant 70-80 on P150, it'll give you 60 kmpl.
If you want to, you can even pull more than 50 kmpl from P180 on highway.

Even in city I like to take my bike to max between gear changes and I still get 45 kmpl.

That must be when I went through Tamhini Ghat. I rode through one of the worst roads in the world for 100 km, then I had to do 50kms of off roading. All of that with pillion and some bags. I got to use only first three gears for that 150 kms. I think 37 kmpl is reasonable for that.
