The Swing arms for both Pulsar 220 and 180 are different. They may be interchangeable. Below is a block diagram of my observation. These observations are real. To be frank the swing arm length from pivot is measured from a Measuring tape. The other is measured using a vernier.

The chain sprocket of P180 is not a direct fit for P220. Yesterday there was a confusion in the forum. I guess its solved now.
The only time that makes me tension free is when I ride my wheels

I think we are clear about the difference between P180UG4 and P220 DTSi, you previously stated the chainstay for P180UG4 and P220 as 20.39 inches and 20.813 inches respectively, upon which my calculations were based.
There could be errors in measuring by few 100th of an inch or so.

Regarding the differences in position of the adjuster hole in the swinarm, it could be due to manufacturing tolerance. It is not uncommon for swingarms to be off by one whole adjustment mark. Anyway, I'd not like to go on regarding this matter any further, what you should do is compare 2 new chains of P220 and 180UG4 side by side and you will find that both are of identical length.
      I am back!

Hey guys...Today I checked my bike's spark plugs for colour and I found them to be light brown. AFAIK, it should be dark brown. Also, if I pull the choke during idle, the engine dies even when the engine is cold. What should I do? Should I get the carb retuned?

Spark plug color is good. No issues there. Ash color to tan is ok. A tad bit lean maybe, but ok. I would even go out of may way to say that I love to see this color whenever I open my bike's plug.
As for the choke issue. That's also ok.
Don't worry about it. Most bikes will stall if they are started without choke and choke is pulled during idle.
          What mileage r u getting?

So your's is not consistent in colour? Going by your words, I guess the mixture is almost balanced.. Mileage is under process... since the petrol tap was replaced, i didn't know the amount of petrol left in the tank. So waiting for it to hit reserve. Only then I can assess the approximate mileage.

Mileage is still 32kmpl at speeds of 85-92kmph purely on highways.. City mileage has to be checked.. What could be the reason for such low mileage? I rode it soft and yet it's the same..

@Yuva0103 : any luck with diagnosing that noise?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes! sound is because of one loose bolt, that exactly starts viberating between 4500 - 5000 rpm.

                Thank you guys.

High beam/Low beam switch is not working. It set with high beam.
                Any solution?

Low beam filament is out. Replace bulb. If it still doesn't light up, check the wiring..

Do not tell your Bajaj service about this oil change , since not using their Dtsi oil may void your warranty .
If i cant find Motul 3000 4T plus 15w50, what other best oil do you suggest for my new 2014 Pulsar 180 ? Also, for how many kms should i stick to using a mineral oil before upgrading to semi-synthetic or synthetic oil ?
                    Thanks.

If your run in period is over then you can shift to ss oil. Try motul 5100 and shell Ax7. Motul 3000 is not so good.

N number of reasons buddy. Off the top of my head, rich mixture, dirty air filter, unlubed and worn out chain, wrong grade or old engine oil, and old age (worn out piston rings, compression loss) are all that I can think off.

I have done only 600 kms on my new 2014 pulsar 180. I am looking to replace the Bajaj DTS-i 10000 20W40 those service center guys put in when i took my bike in for its first free service. (Actually 20W50 is the recommended one but they put 20W40 because they dont have that one). Since it is still during run-in period, I heard it is better to stick with mineral oil and I heard motul is the best one. what others do you suggest ?

Oh man Bajaj oil!!! Get rid of that crap urgently bro. Yes go in for motul mineral oil, its good. Otherwise try shell, veedol, and if your going the ss or fs way you can try motul, shell Ax7 or Castrol power 1 racing.
Btw, though mineral oil is the way to go for run in period your first oil change kinda ends the run in. Run in is done to face the engine and remove excess metal that chips off of the moving parts. The last oil change removed everything trust me. Low fe in run in is a given as the bike is tuned richer than normal, but babying the bike causes even lower fe, so hit the redline every once in a while (but not more than once in one go). Also you can now use ss oils since you've done 600kms but I suggest running another 2-300kms before switching as you're babying the bike bro.

Bike felt ok initially. But soon after I started cruising at 90kmph, I felt the bike less responsive. Later, I had to give more throttle to maintain the same 90kmph speeds. After the trip, the bike, till now, feels as if something is holding it back. Also, even while running, bike seems to skip beat. Today at around 4-6k rpm, there was power loss which was felt while accelerating and felt harsh at higher rpms.

                                Hmmmm.................

you say you removed the spark plug right?. Then my guess would be that you're running lean bro. Also inspect the air box (not just the filter) for any obstructions.

Also one of your plugs may be shot.

Did you adjust the afm. If so it could be that you set it too rich (almost same symptoms) could explain your choke issue.
