Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
So instead of stock sprocket we can change it to p220 sprocket without any issues? Now that's comforting... Coz I too feel the need for a sixth gear at all times.
The mid range is simply punchy and superb that with the cooler, it can cruise all day long..

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
Done a regular service for my bike..
Odo: 9033km
Service performed by known mechanic.
Parts changed: air filter(rs 74), spark plug(rs 70x2), fuel tap(rs 129)
Labour cost: rs 80
Oil used: GRO mineral 20w50(1.2l)
Carb was tuned along with oil change. Bike now feels like new.. Pickup restored to original levels. Have to check mileage. Fuel tap changed since it was leaking petrol.

P180 has 52 pair of links ie 104. Any idea about 220?Originally posted by Jackson Andrade View PostCan anybody mention the number of links in P220 chain?

That's more oil than recommended. And what brand is that?Originally posted by John P Daniel View PostDone a regular service for my bike..

As Cleaner has mentioned on the last page P220 has same 104 links. Extra slackness created by smaller sprocket has been taken care of by longer wheelbase of the bike.Originally posted by Jackson Andrade View PostCan anybody mention the number of links in P220 chain?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
Ya. Both are having 104 link's. Intially it was really confusing, how its direct fit on 220? Previous post i mentioned that i gave my sprocket to a friend ( a known colleague) . He said he is getting good acceleration. I donot know how he fitted it with stock chain. I will soon ask him. One thing is sure that a P180 can easily go for 36 teeth sprocket just by cutting some links ( i haven't cut any). For a 220 to go for 39 is a doubt for me.Originally posted by John P Daniel View Post

Yes true. I saw his post. And also confirmed it. But my question is how my colleague fitted 39 teeth sprocket.?. Thanks guys for suggestions.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostThat's more oil than recommended. And what brand is that?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
I've fitted p220 oil cooler in the bike. So used extra 200ml of oil. Its global racing oil(globalracingoil.com) which was mentioned by a mechanic. Planning to try elf synthetic soon.. The present oil seems good enough to handle the heat and easily lasts more than 2k kms...Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostThat's more oil than recommended. And what brand is that?

Clean the carb. Retune mixture a bit leaner and clean air filter. Hiccups will disappear.

It is most probably due to a lean mixture.
Are you sure that water went in? If yes then empty the fuel tank and let it dry before filling in fresh fuel and also clean the carb.
