Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
It's possible to fit the fairing on p180 but it can lead to increased vibration and front heaviness. A clamp will be welded to the front for fitting. But if done wrong, it can be out of shape. I don't know the cost though. As for practicality, the battery and charger could run overtime to compensate the 55w bulbs..Originally posted by anarchy911 View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
i could be wrong but i suppose you can try and play with the beam adjuster a little and see if it make any differnce. i had the same issue but eventually found the light wasnt that bad it was just the throw/beam angle that was not adjusted correctly.Originally posted by anarchy911 View PostHence a bad idea. Keep a screwdriver in you pocket and take the bike out at night. there is a beam angle adjuster on the right hand side under the meter console.
it might help if you have already not adjusted the angle.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
If it's going to be majorly used in highways, you can use 55/55w bulbs. But you need to connect it using relay for best operation. This retains existing look of bike. Other option is hid which I don't prefer and have no idea about. Hid is also a cop magnet unless they are factory fitted.Originally posted by anarchy911 View PostHence a bad idea. Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
Need a suggestion but first a happy new year to all.
OK I am planning to go in for Joel exhaust, should I go yes or no. Any side effects to the vehicle. As everything will always be stock.
She has done like just 5000 km.
Its a 9000rs investment. Please suggest me. Thanks

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
I don't think side effects will be there since I heard Joel sir does stock replacement after extensive testing. But p180 was not on his list of vehicles I guess. If p220 silencers are compatible(heard it increases back pressure), I think it should be ok. But the bike could be under warranty since it has run just 5000kms.... It's your call though..Originally posted by arjunb25 View PostNeed a suggestion but first a happy new year to all.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
Yes the bike is under warranty at this moment. Well back pressure is what is hurting me know and then you mention this also the p180 has never been on his list that is know is what changing my mind of sticking with the stock. What do you say.Originally posted by John P Daniel View PostI don't think side effects will be there since I heard Joel sir does stock replacement after extensive testing. Is there anyone here who has used it without trouble as I wish to retain the vehicle for some years to come.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
I've seen several p180 use p220 silencers without any problem for quite some time now. My best bet would be to inquire directly to Joel sir since he knows a lot about bikes..Originally posted by arjunb25 View PostYes the bike is under warranty at this moment. Back pressure is the pressure or restrictions that have to be overcome inorder to force exhaust gases out of the engine. It's the pressure that restricts you from blowing air fast through a straw. Free flow exhaust reduces back pressure making it easy to expel exhaust gases..Originally posted by anarchy911 View PostWhat's back pressure?

I would suggest you to think twice before investing 9K on the exhaust.Originally posted by arjunb25 View PostNeed a suggestion but first a happy new year to all.

I had Joel's exhaust on my P180 and I had clocked 22k kms with that before I sold it to my friend since I was upgrading for a bigger bike. The gains which you will be getting is minimum. under sane riding, you might get an extra mileage of 2-3kmpl and your bike will be little quicker than that of the stock.
there are no such side effects but once the glasswool gets burnt totally, the exhaust because too loud and its unpleasant to hear (rattling kinda sound) so you need to fill in the glasswool regularly and finding the glasswool was a tedious job for me. Also my exhaust was prone to rust but I heard that the new batch exhaust are not having this rusting problem.
Also please let us know why you would want to install an after market exhaust. Is it just because of that sound or are you expecting any huge gains out of that?2009-2012 Apache RTR Fi (Sold)

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
I'm new here and tried reading 4-5 pages, I know this question might have been addressed before but didn't find it.
My pulsar 180 has completed 2000 kms and the gear shifting is really very difficult, its harsh to change gear, rpm has to be raised to change the gear somewhat smoothly, is this normal, is there any manufacturing defects, any remedies for it?

What engine oil are you using? And when was the last service?Originally posted by shrirang Shivankar View PostI'm new here and tried reading 4-5 pages, I know this question might have been addressed before but didn't find it.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
Is it bajaj 10,000? In any case, switch to motul 5100, and see the difference. And try to avoid the bajaj oil.Originally posted by shrirang Shivankar View PostIt's like this from day 1, I think oil is 20W40, serviced about month ago
