Got my Pulsar 180 2days back, I know its pretty late to buy it, but it has always been my love..
Here are some pics

Btw guys, there is a white transparent pipe hanging beside my rear brake, i contracted a friend(a mechanic) who told me its just a gas release pipe for the fuel tank and told me to stick it anywhere facing downwards.. ?? Is it okay..??

Most likely fueling system is choked or water in petrol.Originally posted by AntiqueBlue View PostAbout the low fuel eff, n lower acc I posted sometime back, i today noted, there is some power loss , meaning like a feeling at petrol is suddenly cut off while increasing throttle was felt. i guess this has to be some problem with AFR/carb ?
I blame xbhp/mods for that. They don't keep permalinks permanent. I corrected it twice but it worked for a day then start pointing to random post.Originally posted by AntiqueBlue View Post@lockhart, your second link in signature is not pointing to right post, can you provide right one
To me, it wouldn't even cost more than Rs. 10 as I would get it done myself and diodes, capacitor etc are very cheap.Originally posted by anishkrissh View Posthow much does it cost to change my pilot lambs wiring to dc.........???
What you're looking for is bridge rectifier which can be mend using 4 diodes and optional capacitor. You should be able to obtain it at any electronic shop.
Congrats on your latest buy. You're the first speedline pulsar here.Originally posted by arpit982 View PostGot my Pulsar 180 2days back, I know its pretty late to buy it, but it has always been my love..

Your friend is right. If that pipe is too long and almost touching road you can trim it down.
And do remove all of the plastic wrappings.

If I'm not wrong we always had ByBre. It's just that they have added logo with speedlines.Originally posted by arpit982 View PostI didn't know that there were ByBre Front Disc Brakes in Pulsars.

Guys I'm not satisfied with my 55/60 W headlight setup. This bulb runs dim all the time as the battery is incapable of spitting out enough amps to keep it bright. The stock 35W was brighter that this. Low battery sign is blinking all the time.
It seems to me that the only option is to rewind the coil and upgrade the RR, right? need suggestions.
@Jasmin rider: Aren't you facing any problems?

hmm. I was not willing to spend on RR. I guess there's no workaround this.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postrewind the coil with thicker gauge wire plonk in an APE RR, shift to 60 Watt HID ... kick ass...

everyone and mark my words.. everyone on highway will make way for u...
i am also using same set-up albiet a 35 w HID.
Sure will go for HID+projector someday but not today.
I think stock switches are good to handle 55W halogen like they do on P220.Originally posted by Above_All View Postlockhrt999 first put up a relay for headlight .
Surely with HID no one will want 300 amps running their body when riding with GF in monsoon.

The projector headlamp assembly costs 3.5kOriginally posted by JASMINE RIDER View Postwhat about attaching 220 head light with fairing?
i am interested in that..here they are asking 5k or so...for this mod..
The fairing costs 1800
The Metal bracket on which the fairing, headlamp and meter assembly is mounted comes for 700.
So it is definitely going to be > 5k unless you are getting those parts much cheaper in the aftermarket.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
