Yep, but i wonder why you have such a outlook which is track based?? do you plan to take the bike for track days or you taking part in some competition where they are checking Lavasa and Mutha Ghat lap times??

Just let the engine breathe easily or else you are in way of expenses in near future...

Experienced it the hard way, dont want a fellow brother to go through the same.

I am already experiencing it hard way , but it has now kind of got into me, hard accelrating thingy. So by time I subdue this habit of mine, I need something which will take care of engine while I rev it hard out of habit.

And more headed, to know I with Pulsar cannot take part in those lap timings

And after I have so many things already answered , do one more
My mileage is also low, but I guess that will improve when I let engine "breathe"

Pulsars were the first conquerors on Mutha and Lavasa before ZMA and R15's Raided a year later... Lets not head in that direction again!!!
I may be new to Xbhp but iam certainly not new to biking and that also being in Pune.

Ahh yes let it breathe, gradual acceleration would help out.

Regarding mileage yes, the carb can be tuned for best performance.

Dont tear it immediately, take pleasures in unhooking it slowly. If you know what i mean

this is the part i sawed off initially...
have to see how i can fix part of this back onto the P135 fender.
will have to chop off the lower part tho.

the green bit is where the P135 indicators "lock in"...
the red bit is where the P180 locks in.

so i just sawed off the stubs on the P180 indicator.
didn't want to risk the P135 fender cracking.
it was a pain in the rear to find out as it is.

as few more angles of the rear... it kinda works as is too.

the only reason i'm worried about adding the plastic bit under/after the P135 fender...
is coz i don't want some idiot riding into the back of my bike at a signal or while i'm in traffic.

coz the the license plate would "stick out"... past the rear cowl & tyre.

            with no "protection."

            .
Can Some one help me to know how to fix this Pulsar135 rear fender to P220?? Do we need to do any sort of welding to fix it???

I want to fix one by cutting the stock rear fender as above.. but i dont understand where do i get holes to screw this up from below the tail.. do I have to do any welding thingy???

            • Rear tyre suggestions !

              Hi Guyz,

My rear tyre encountered 5 punctures in past two days. My bike has clocked 20000 kms and the rear ones looks worn out. I have the latest P180 with IRC rear tyres. Please suggest some good tyres for city riding.

              Thanks,
              JK

I suggest keep them stock as they are best and reliable... if you could actually attach a pic of the tire then I can suggest if you need a change or not cz the rear tire on my bike lasted for odd 35,000kms. No joking!!!

Keep the tubeless stock as the option perfect mix for rain and dry.

                    Good question there...

The thing is do not change every part till it doesnt fail out... If you see the other threads out here CBR250 or Duke or be it absolutely anything, they just post even if the part has gained dust particles. Ohh what should i do now types.

My current reading would be around odd 42,000 kms.

Clutch plates, Brake Shoes/Pads, spark plugs, tires, air filter and carb costed me a bomb, but they had failed to perform around the same time... To be frank with you before the 30,000 km mark i only spent on Servicing and Oil Changes and the normal chain lubing spray.

Actually speaking even some of the above mentioned changes were not required but just to track the main problem and the stupid SVC guys here in pune dint work so had to change every part... I must say i learnt a bit more about the engine during this time. Finding a reliable service station is pain in pune you might be aware... Even Antz Bin the 220 guy can tell you this as i had given my bike at Bajaj SVC near his place and wasnt satisfied.

Also if you plan to go back the thread and study a bit, you will come to know what problems the bike has faced. And to be frank the Pulsar 180 thread has hardly been talked here on the forum, just because we dont post small errors regardless they being absent most of the time.

                    EDIT -
Neither we have stupid comparisons with any other bikes. We are too drowned in the beauty of the mighty 180. Also there is no single owner or thread ruler of this bike here at Xbhp which will pound your posts or take out his chaotic sissy frustration on you if you know what I mean to say.

Hope this answers your just kidding question. Chillax brother.

As usual typical Ishan with "ee" ... (seems nice ) reply
though it does answer one question "why is this pulsar 180 thread so less active", I guess I now got the tricky answer

That happens, anyways have you finally found a reliable svc ?? I am still looking for one :-/

Also, have you gone through those fancy lights on youtube, done by AV mod, (though I already know you are one who believes in keeping bike in stock condition), so question how realiable are those/ Also I am already using a 55w bulb instead of 35 W, and many a times it gives that low battery symbol !!!

That would be E and not an I.
No dude not found one yet... Still searching, too scary to leave the bike at SVC.

Yep thats the reason for the thread being only active when a member faces a problem with the bike

Have been there, they were actually good, but there was a guy there "aslam", once he moved out, the guy who was checking bike, did not seem so sure of what was happening with bike.

About the low fuel eff, n lower acc I posted sometime back, i today noted, there is some power loss , meaning like a feeling at petrol is suddenly cut off while increasing throttle was felt. i guess this has to be some problem with AFR/carb ?
