Hmm.. thats all from my end folks..

    Did not get you??
Are there two bulbs for low beam n high beam>??
I was planning to get HID with Projector. shouldn't that be better?

About 300V, it very very good, but it doesn't last more than 3000 for me, because of my riding style I guess, so I m using 5100 V

You can if you tour alot otherwise these things does'nt matter much untill they start breaking they are fine to use.

Few updates on my bike -- Done a bit more than 40k kms in 3yrs.. Had to replace the head light assembly since I had a fall (not bad though).. One dent on the tank which I wanna get removed, hopefully its possible without the paint cracking... I tried Motul 300v in my bike and I've 2 words for it AWESOME but EXPENSIVE ...
Both the tyres were changed around 9k kms back.. Front Pirelli Sports Demon and rear MRF Zapper Wyde..
Had been using the HIDs (35 watt High-Beam)for around 2 years and yesterday the low beam bulb fused .. So now back again to the stock halogen bulb ....
Got the Battery changed some 15 days back to AMARON zero-maintenance one.. Trust me this is the best in the market..
      Accelerator cable - Never changed
Clutch cable - Changed once for mental satisfaction @ around 25k kms and second time just 2k kms back cause few strands had begun to break

To discuss on few recent stuff from the previous posts:
@Abhi -- Once you change the front brake pads the brakes are not that effective.. there is ermm lets say sort of a break in period for the pads.. around 50kms or so.. after which the brakes are 100% effective.
I am unable to find valvoline 20W50 in b'lore

That's nice to see you back here. Did you use a relay with HID or all is stock?

        Yes.. I have two bulbs..
Low beam - Normal yellow halogen (same like stock)
Way I use it: For city and regular use. Doesn't hinder oncoming traffic or other people. And legal if a cops see it

        High beam - HID (4300K).
Way I use it: Highways or Dark roads/alleys or when oncoming car or bike guy does not lower beam . This hinders the people coming in front of you and is not street legal.

        See few pics below

Two Bulbs. Left one halogen & Right one HID

Abhi, No relay .. no wire cutting.. no mods whatsoever (unless you consider making one tiny screw hole to mount the ballast as a mod)

See the 3 pin holder .. thats what wat even the normal bulb has.. This is the part that connects..

        This is the Ballast:

That reflector around HID, is above HID or below it?

          • The engine is feeling very sluggish, recently serviced the bike. Don't know the problem, could clutch plates be the possible reason?

That metal piece arrangement is below the bulb...

May be 2 reasons 1. As you said Clutch Plates 2. Carb diaphram
Get these check.. Hope your bike gets fixed soon.. Keep us updated on the progress

Then it's not true high beam bulb, right?. You may want to remove that reflector to throw even brighter focus to the distance.

                      • the pulsar 180 of mine did something very unusual 2 weeks back .

it traveled 1906 kms of road with fully loaded tank bag, saddle bags, tail packs weighing more then 40 kgs and a rider wiging more then 110+ kgs without even a glitch within 3 days.
its a ug 2 , 2005 model. it returned fuel avg of 36 km per lit of normal petrol.

                        start -chennai city, tn.
                        finish- barddhaman city, wb.

it ran for 12 hours in avg per day for three consecutive days , massive cross winds, about a hundred kms of off roading, the worst possible rain i have seen in my 8 year old riding experience. nothing gave up, not even a single blot!even at the end of the day when i was exhausted , the ride was ready was ready to do more more more!
not even a puncture. hids were used as DRL all the way, no battery drain.

it was longest ride for me also as a solo ride. a 8 yr old steed giving you that kind of confidence is really something to look and respect for.

Looks like that heavy rain has given a power wash to your bike. Love the road in second pic. That's a healthy average your bike gave.
You're moving to WB? One more thing, those tyres seem tubeless, right?
                          ---------------------

Speaking of power wash, guys I bought a power jet washer myself. I'll try it on my bike this week.

That's commendable for the rider first and then for the ride. I don't know how but Pulsar's have our distinct Indian DNA (rough & uncaring Indians). How come one use them they go miles and miles...

after all bill came upto 3k.

not changed oil. it will do in 2 days which will cost me another 500

lcd is changed but, the problem started...its of p150s i think..it was like p150s speedo with that carbon fiber like styling.

and now its showing different numbers when compared to earlier.

earlier bike was doing 57km/h in 4k rpm, but, now its only showing 52,53(and the feeling is like i am riding in 60s)
something is wrong either speedo is showing less speed or rpm is showing high numbers..
(any chances of chain sprocket change effect?)
i amreally dull by seeing this, they said that all speedos are now coming with same carbon fiber design on it is that true?...as i am seeing only white theme in rpm styling

                              what could be the problem?..

please tell your thoughts in this fast... as i need to change it if its wrong..

                              after all bike is smooth...

and also mileage is raised to an xtreme level by this chain sprocket change i gues..got close to 60

grab railes are changed to p135 railes..

Post the pictures soon for the grab rails. My 180 does 54 Kmph @ 4K there is nothing wrong with the current speedo of yours. The old speedo might have been at fault from day one of your purchase. As for the total bill its not surprising my last two services costed me 2.5K approx.

P.S: Those grabrails are looking very odd. Not to my taste.
