Cone set changing needs to be done when there is a play in the handle. Check again, press front brake and see if you can hear tak tak noise or leave both hands while riding and check if its wobbling (make sure the road ahead is empty)Originally posted by king_f_r View Post

Upto you! if the wobbling is too much then its better to change it as wet surface can cause major slipping.Originally posted by king_f_r View Postthanks eshan! btw should i change it now or can i change it after the monsoons? Any problem?
I suggest get it changed in the coming weekend, why take chances. Or else be extra slow during rains.sigpic

personally smocked kn powered karizma r...i am not a drag racer...but, happend to beat them, when they hardly played with me..Originally posted by king_f_r View PostGuys, isn't the Karizma R more quicker n powerful than our p180?? What do you think?
i was riding in 50-60s then, these guys in a karizma r started to play with me by over taking and slowing and by making sound with their kn...
then, there started my game, just pushed my accelerator and here i starts to fly. p180s sound almost chaged and they became like
. when they saw me coming from back with a wild sound and over taking them..
but, after all i like karizma very much, its raw torque in every gear is really awesome... and i respect that machine for that..
congrates for your new ride eshan,,,its really hot...Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostUpto you! if the wobbling is too much then its better to change it as wet surface can cause major slipping.

21k Kms problems ! Suggestions needed !
Every time i have a problem with my bike, i post ! And within hours i get a remedy ! So here i am again.
1.My bike has clocked 21000 KMS. I have changed my rear tires to MRF zapper Vyde.(only the rear tire.). I am getting back pain with every ride in my bike. I feel something is wrong with my suspension or tires(should i change the front stock tire as well?). The exact problem is even small pit holes are hitting my back sharply and then bike imbalance.
2. And off late stability of the bike is an issue. The bike's handle bar shivers every time. I reported these issues to the DAMN service centers , still did not resolve.
3. As a part of my 21k ride, which spares should i change for the above mentioned problems.
4. Also which Engine oil should i use now and for how many KMS will it hold good ?
Guyz imagine i am driving 40 kms daily with these problems ! Please provide a solution .

40 k update
After a long time had some serious work done for my steed. last time i had this kind of good work done was 2 yrs back. actually got astonished myself that the most unreliable motorcycle according to many scored quite well with almost no maintenance for last ten thousend kilometers. So what s done now at 40,000kms on odo? well to start with as you can see the picture the TIMING CHAIN is changed which single handedly taken care of all noise from the engine and now the air cooled mill is playing some real good symphony. dont think this better sound was there even when the machine was out of the showroom, just like a mature wife or old wine,,err! Also the MASTER CYLINDER KIT changed and the whole system is bleeded with DOT 4 break oil, THANKS MAHINDRA and MAHINDRA for providing me the oil for your mighty suv lines, breaks are like ammmmmmmmmm, soo good. Who says you need steel braided lines for feeling? I mean really?:-0. Oh ya the dirt cheap air filter also changed, along with the rear break shoe. A good wash with super sanding on whole bodywork followed by some good application of rubbing compound and followed by goood application of wax,,,trust me, she is as silky as scarlett johansson s fore arm skin now! o , the main stand is brand new which is significantly lighter then the one i had,. Engine oil changed to dtsi 20w50, along with oil filter cleaning and preload adjustment for clutch load balance r. total damage to pocket, is about 2k but the feel is worth it.

2001 - The 180 cc version made 15 HP of maximum powerOriginally posted by albyjose View PostCan someone give the list of all models of p180?Along with year.Which of it is the best to buy as second hand?
2003 - The second generation Pulsar 180 featured Bajaj Auto's newly developed DTSi technology,
2005 - The power output increased to 16.5 hp (12.3 kW) @ 8500 rpm for the Pulsar 180.
2006 - Pulsar (UG III) New features included: pilot lamps separated from the main headlamp, turn indicators with clear lenses and amber bulb, self-cancelling turn indicator switch, flush LCD screen with digital read-out of key vehicle data, non-contact speed sensor, non-contact backlit switches, twin-stripe LED tail-light assembly and side panels altered for a sharp, tapering-towards-the-rear look.
2009 - The Pulsar 180 (UG4) received upgrades like wider tyres, split seat, tank scoops, clip-on handlebars, 3D Pulsar logo, swing arm suspension borrowed from Pulsar 200, and thicker forks. The power was increased to 17 PS.
2010-2011 - Minor upgrades like engine cover, paint scheme & self starter (better than 2009 version, less noisy).
Definitely UG4 is the best (2009 version could be bought for 35-40K Rs.), for looks I prefer "Fear the Black" P180 released in 2005-06.

Motul 5100 VS 300v
Guyz please reply soon. I am in a dilemma bw MOTUL 5100 and 300v. Which is best for our engine and how many kilometers do they last? And i suppose motul 5100 comes in 1 litre can. But p180 oil level is 1200 ml; so should i get 2 1 litre can and use 200 ml from the second.? I dont have any calibrated container . How can i measure it ?

My Pulsar 180UG4 completed 2 years and 41 thousand kms, not once engine opened touchwood! Stock chain sprocket, clutch plates, pistons et al.
10K worth of engine oil I spent (probably more!)
1-2K worth in beautification I invested
4 major trips, two times Delhi-Nainital-Delhi, Delhi-Ajmer-Pushkar-Jaipur-Delhi and Delhi-Amritsar-Pathankot-Mcleodganj-Delhi
Return? Pricelessness!
Aiming to clock the 1L mark within 2 years!
