@Abhi: Pulsars don't depreciate that much. You could find three year old P150 for 30K. Many guys don't like this brand but it's totally hilarious that their Japanese bike looses more money over period of time than pulsar. Apart from REs, Pulsars are the least depreciating bikes in current production. I did a little research with my friend and found that. Ninja 250R's on second position. On last place you will find the highly engineered bike R15. It looses 12K as soon as you buy it and total 25k for first year. And yeah friend bought the same.Originally posted by 130kmph@17bhp View Posthmm.. Sad thing was by the time i got time to get a testdrive, the owner sold it for 40k :O
Anyway ^^ this is another reason why thieves love pulsar...because it fetch more money than others.
You can say, Hunto.

.they said me that its coming out from the stem guard
. i was really
by hearing this. they asked me 1 day time just to discover some cheat things like this. i was 100% sure that its not coming from that.
this is stem guard...
If you go a hundred pages back you will see how I tackled it. But do what I have said above.Last edited by lockhrt999; 07-30-2011, 11:03 PM.

""2008 Pulsar 180 UG3 cost around 30,000 Rs at best. Not a penny more.""
then i thought that that may be the market demand in particular area.
just 6 months back i was looking for a used pulsar .then searching started for good one.then atlast found one red 150 which was 2007 model.bike was in very good condition.smooth gear box,no accidents.just 1 week old battery with warranty.asking price was 40k.then took bike to my local mech for engine conformation. he just rode it.after the ride parked it in side stand and then given full throttle, observed the smoke., and said engine is ok. no problems, can give 35-40k. then asked bike for 35k.they agreed.but that bike suddenly bought by their family friend for the same 35k.then i disappointed.from that incident settled my mind to go for a new one as an answer for them

.
then my jasmine rider came to my hands
.

What is the quantity of oil you are filling inside the engine?Originally posted by sudhar_koya View Posthi every one , this is my 1st post in xbhp . for the first two days after the fitting of oil cooler i ran my bike with only 1000 ml ("I said the mech to pour 1300 ml but he ignored it") then i observed that the engine wasw heating up so quickly and checked the engine oil level ,the i added more 300 ml to it from then its fine ..... but when i travel more than 20 km continuously there is a burning smell from the engine , so is that the problem with the clutch plates?????

Fill only 1200 ml, burning smell comes generally when one hard-rips the bike, have seen the same with my bike too. No problem in general. Also which grade of oil are you using, Have you changed the right clutch cover to that of 220?Originally posted by sudhar_koya View Postfor the first two days after the fitting of oil cooler i ran my bike with only 1000 ml ("I said the mech to pour 1300 ml but he ignored it") then i observed that the engine wasw heating up so quickly and checked the engine oil level ,the i added more 300 ml to it from then its fine ..... but when i travel more than 20 km continuously there is a burning smell from the engine , so is that the problem with the clutch plates?????
Do one thing, start the bike and let-it warm-up (you can also do it by riding the bike) when the bike warms-up then touch the oil cooler (that radiator) if it is hot that means oil is circulating well through the oil cooler, if the oil cooler is cold then there is blockage which is preventing the oil circulation.Last edited by abhichotu.abhi; 08-01-2011, 10:59 AM.

i have checked the 220's mannual and it specifies that we should fill it with 1300 ml . I am using bajaj 10000 km oil . the burning smell is common when the engine is heated up but its not the same as the other pulsars . Before doing this mod the smell would be as common as other bikes but i ran the byk with less engine oil from then the smell was different like some metal has burnt

Pulsar 180 UG III was an awesome bike,Used it for 4 years with 60k on odo,Includes mostly city driving..
Been a few times on highway it runs like a dream.
The only problem i had with the bike is Gearbox and a few niggles apart from that the bike is cool never had to regret buying it
New addition is: The new Yamaha Fz-s.
