may be mann...my gear shifts are also hard.

    • Hi guys my pulsar 180 ug4 (black) has done 1860kms now and i've taken it to a maximum of 72km/hr. That is my top speed until today. Since its the beginning of the end of running-in period, should i rip the bike now & then until i reach 70-75 km/hr ?? I drive mostly inside the city & the last time i checked the mileage, i got 51(very happy with the mileage though). Please advice.

Well the thing is that these big shots just want to sell there product and nothing else they don't believe in after sales service well this is what the dealer of Allahabad says I normally don't speak to bagga link.
Well there problem is that bas mal bikna chaiye and that's it there should be a money rotation my dear they r happy to hear from there staff, when they ask him yes boy what's the sale of the day well they hardly I think no dealer today be it any company but I am sure BAJAJ will rank no... 1 today in troubling there customers, the mechanic here who did my bike that person never knew how to do the alignment of the bike can u believe this he took 5 days when I abused the main heads then the bike was given to some intelligent person a trained mechanic who fixed my bike and then was told by the main incharge that from today he will take care of my bike.
Well even I have taken a pledge that from no onwards no more BAJAJ for me buddy ah ah ha no ways man.
Well u guys won't believe what I saw when I went inside the service area there were 6 brand new bikes inside who's engine we opened when asked they said that there are some parts which are spoilt in the bikes I told them that these r brand new bike 1 km ridden they said yes sir these r showroom bikes and there engines have gone ones they r ready they will be sent back to the showroom for sale, I said very good that means a customer will never come to know that the bike which he is buying its engine has already been opened and repaired.
This is what BAJAJ is supplying now. So when ever u buy BAJAJ god have mercy on your soul.

Well, I''m sorry that you had to undergo all that Trauma. and I guess, you would surely be able to understand how petrified I was during all that process too..

Anyways, the worst is past now.. They gave the problem in my bike as the starter relay or ignition relay.. They have changed it for 72rs. and haven't charged any labor charges as my bike was priority ONE, as I had complained to the All India Helpline number.. 1800-233-2453

I would like to urge all to call up this number as soon as you discover any problem with your bikes, and register your complaint... Its a GUARANTEE that one of your service center guys would call you up the same day...

And yes, arjunb25, I would prefer that you go to an authorized Bajaj service centre for all your services, because if something goes bad in your bike later on, they won't fix it under warranty, but will charge you, as you haven't had your bike serviced from them..

        BTW, I'm a Gulati myself..

          • 2 Years and Still Going Strong

Today is exactly 2 years since i took my bike(Means it is the second birthday).
            Clocked 21348 kms.
            Great drive.

Though i like the chain sound. It s hitting something.i guess the chain guard and sending the vibration all over the bike. High speeds are tolerable.

OHH!!! Welcome again SIR. Hope you remembered all of us. I guess you were too busy in riding your bike (I hope you might have done 50-60 saddlesores till now in the mean time you were offline) and thus were offline for a long span of time. I hope you will continue to greet us with your frequent attendance on this thread.

Great to hear that pulsarized, yes the chain vibrations at foot pegs has become almost a common problem with 180s. I am working on a JUGAAD to eliminate it

i think my chain is gone,.
s.c says that it lasts only for 10 k.

Guys any inputs on how to overcome this problem without changing the chain??Is there any alignment that needs to be done?Because these SVC guys just tighten the chain and leave it without even inspecting it properly. Thanks in advance!!
You guys need to reduce the slackness of chain. that's all.
When you engage clutch, tension which keeps chain tightly hold is lost.

personally in my case also..like that chain sound.
but this is strange mann...not felt it earlier...

it was my first thought that the chain may be tight. but s.c mech checked it and adjusted once again. but problem not solved.
In pulsars apart from both sprockets the chain is rested upon third part which is in the middle of both sprockets. So if bike's chain is loose then it touches that parts and create vibs and noise at low speeds. That's it.

                                GUYS!!!

The problem with the bike has been resolved now....

I appreciate and respect all the solutions you guys presented to me...

The SC guy called me and told me that the bike is all well now.
I didn't believe him and confirmed again...
so he said, "We had a lot of pressure from above, your bike was Priority Number ONE. There is no way we would have called you if we weren't 200% satisfied with ourselves now. Your Starter Relay had short-circuited. We have changed it."

I went there, and the bike was working fine..

It has been 2 days now, and the bike as awesome as usual..

It costed me Rs.64+ taxes.. Total Rs.72.

They didn't charge me any labor, as my bike was on complaint, and I had already threatened to take them to Consumer Court, plus I had lodged a formal complaint on their All India Helpline Number..

Guys! This tollfree number really works wonders! and these people take you seriously only when you call them up!

I'm attaching the Ignition/Starter Relay.. Have a look..
