P.S: Stop thinking about experimenting with new TOYS. Let your bike be as much stock as possible. It will help you only. First, get your current problems rectified.

many thanks for informations abhi, also for those p.p.s. i will change it

Stop experimenting! and for heaven's sake don't copy other bikes ,p180 is a looker why do you want to spoil its looks, cheap mods will only make the bike look more uglier than it is!
You talking about fitting NOS ..are you kidding me? wanna get your engine fried? as abhi said... keep the bike as stock as possible..yes..if there is a good mechanic you can rely upon who knows what hes doing..then its up to you.
yeah. its really looker. but there are so many same looker 180s all around. so i just like a change. thats it. any way hearing all u r suggetions now not going to fit it.
about NOS- actually there was a video in you tube of karizma which is titled as
      Code:
      nos fitted karizmas top speed
. watching this just asked that to my 180 friends.
      anyway thanks ceasar.

        • Gave the bike for servicing @16117kms. I lost the service manual of the bike so 'warranty void' already () anyway my warranty was going tobe expired in coming June, so no worries now), although this has costed me a bang today will tell about it in later in this post itself. My 180 RS suggestion to you guys, be careful with handling of manual, if you lose it than it might turn the maintenance of your bike into a 'Haathi ka Bill'. The list of works tobe done is plenty, and as goes below:

          1) Rear wheel wobbling: Alignment needs tobe done
          2) Fairing making noise: Tightening
          3) Cylinder block oil leakage:Gasket needs tobe changed
          4) Tappets making noise:Tappet setting
          5) Tank pad(some bugger removed it): New one tobe fitted
          6) Rear shock-up’s maintenance: Refilling nitrox gas
          7) General Servicing: Includes general check-up, carburetor setting
          8) Engine oil: Changed to Bajaj DTS-I from Valvoline.

Other way of increasing intensity without changing anything is lower your headlight and reflector.
          1) One will have to rewind the stator coil and change the RR.

          2) Well, I did'nt knew that changing the reflector position will change the intensity. Thanks.

If you want your bike to be a looker than there are other ways like getting paint job, alloys paint,..... which if done professionally, will make your ride unique. BTW, Xionite also has a 180 UG3 and he has fitted an R15 fairing to it. PM him and ask him what he thinks about the fairing thingy.

If you know a good mechanic outside than purchase the parts yourself and hand it over to him to change them. Or I have heard that CBZ are good enough in Mumbai. Or get it done front of your eyes at Bajaj SC.

thnx for the info buddy.i own a p180 ug4 jan 2010 model.as i mentioned that the avenger coil will generate more power than the current pulsar 180's coil,so is this possible that i may replace my rectifier also with that of avengers.in that way it will keep my battery properly charged to run the headlight and the horns at the same time.actually i want to keep the current bulb ie. 60/55w as it gives sufficient light in night time and im satisfied with it.but the only thing im bothered about is that the horns sound low when the light is on,and as soon as i turn the lights off the horn sound becomes louder as normally does.any solution for this mate..??

                      • Yippy!!!! Got the bike back from service, and also got a bill of 1050 INR. Heck those Bajaj SCs.

BTW, the work done has already been explained in the above posts. There were 2-3 Gaskets that were changed due to cylinder block opening. 2 Gaskets were faulty and the other was changed as a matter of precaution. Also the mechanic did set the shock-up setting to '2' position. I donot know why, but he explained me a BLODDY Idiotic reason that the gas is refilled and thus... The result it totally changed the handling characteristics of the bike. I found it a bit difficult in the first 2 kms to ride the bike as before, but now it seems okay. Nevertheless the earlier setting was the best for my type of riding.

BTW, I saw the piston and rings and the piston was a little brownish (only little) that shows that it is still good doing it's job.

When the engine becomes hot the metal inside expands and thus resulting in a similar type of noise in Pulsars. Especially, that noise comes in my bike usually when I ride it too hard.

Gearbox will make trr.. krrr.. khatt.. noise sometimes while shifting. (Mine always makes.) The neutral problem will reduce (not fully go away) as your bike crosses 5K kms.

Avengers are full DC? I'm not sure. If they are not then changing RR to that of Avanger's will make situation worse. Although Avenger's coil is direct fit into our P180s, I'm not sure what kind of RR is needed. Ask in 'Let there be light' thread.

I seriously doubt SC guy knew what pressure is needed inside canister. It's 106 psi. Next time you go to the SC ask him about it.

He did it by some machine, first he removed shockups one by one and get the canister of one shock filled by a pressure gauge machine and than did the same with other. And yes the pressure was near about the point you are saying.

                            • I'm not bragging about my bike.
My bike allows me change gear in ~200 milliseconds...Actually it's a mixed effort. From depressing the clutch, switching gear and to releasing clutch all in ~ 200 milliseconds. Not kidding. It's faster than that Honda SBK which comes with dual clutch as well as many sports cars having dual clutches.
It happens very very smoothly, it doesn't even make any sound of switching gear. There's absolutely no lag in power delivery. Pillion never notices the gear were being switched.
Even once pillion asked me, How come I didn't change gear in last 15 mins.
