^agreed. jamshedpur was always a Hero Honda city....hundreds and thousands of HMC bikes in the city. Pulsar 150 was once a craze but now, xtreme has leapfrogged it by thousands. Rest all 100,125 cc HMC 2-wheelers prowling the city.
OT: Btw I saw the new Mercedes A class (in white) yesterday while returning from office. It looks so beautiful in real...I just couldn't sleep (almost!). Back home, I was browsing through the entire A-class blogs, website, pics and more :P
Really, for the white A-class, beautiful is just an understatement.

              P43T I think.

Update: Couldn't find Veedol Take Off Premium anywhere. With difficulty, I've found a place which sells Motul 3000 4T Plus in 10W30 grade. So will be picking it up this evening or tomorrow.

Wouldn't 10w30 be too thin for this weather?

Well, it is the recommended grade for the Xtreme and Hunk. I'm not sure how people changed grades based on the weather, but I have never changed with the weather. :P

But from what I read now, folks prefer Heavier Oils during the Summer and Thinner Oils during the winter, given Bangalore's weather at the moment, you would say a thinner oil is recommended, but I doubt you get oils thinner than 10W30. :P OTOH, lots of dealers are telling me that 10W40 is fine. But from Sibun's post a little earlier, it sounds like 10W40 is a little too heavy. Hence the preference for 10W30.

During summer I was using gulf 20w40 and my engine used to overheat like crazy, the oil lost its power after just 1k and caused vibes at speeds above 60, then I switched to motul and everything was fine. I can't imagine how a 10w30 oil would be in the summer

I remember HS1, but then H4 bulbs fit too right? Wouldn't that meant the base socket it not exactly HS1?

I may sound a little ignorant, but just asking, what is P43T then? :P

Dude I have a Unicorn which has HS1 as stock and H4 will fit directly into it. You need not bend anything. I donno to which bike you had to bend it

                          * HS1 is the term for the PX43T base halogen bulbs. HS1 can be replaced with H4 P43T.
                          * H4 is the term for P43T base and P45T base (round base, instead of three prongs, old style on it's way out) halogen bulbs.

Karizma, Uni, CBZX, Hunk, Apache RTR, Pulsar (except 220) all these i have seen, come with HS1 (PX43T) bulbs, and can be replaced with P43T H4 automotive bulbs.

HS1 bulb The only difference between the HS1 and an H4 halogen bulb, is that the middle pin at the base is 1-2mm thicker. Hence the notation PX 43t compared to P43t. The middle pin they refer to is not the pin where you plug in the wire. The pin they refer to is the middle leg/tab/prong that locates the bulb in the holder.

PX43T bulbs have a wider center tab motorcycles can use P43T bulbs in place of HS1 (PX43T).

Little something I dug from the universal thread. I just wanted to replace 35w bulb to 55-60w. Shouldn't be a problem right?

Also, Engine Oil change due tomorrow. 4k km run after I got the Big Bore from Joel, I read conflicting views where some say Semi-Synth/Fully Synth can be used from 2k km onwards. But members here have a different view, I feel I need to stick to Motul 3000 4T(Mineral oil btw) for now. :P I'm not able to source Veedol Take Off Premium anywhere.

                            What are your views?

4k is more than enough to start using SS or FS oils, motul is good too.

If mineral is what you're looking for then you can try Elf Moto4 Gold. Great oil too.
