Brother, AX7 comes only in 10W40 grade. AX5 comes in 20W40 grade.

A small little update!

Post the service, the bike is returning 47km to the liter. This is a tad lower than the 52kmpl I got before the service. I believe this has to do with the tappet clearance as no mech in Bangalore seems to have a feeler gauge.

Either way, looks like I will be getting my hands dirty this weekend again. Will have to keep a head cover gasket and some sealant ready as the mechanic has used a sealant this time to plug the oil leak. The question on my mind is this, sibun, you had suggested earlier that I set the clearance to 0.07 and 0.10 due to wearing in the rocker arms. Now that the rocker arms have been replaced, can I go back to spec setting of 0.08 and 0.12?

Also, I have been running a CP6EA8 plug all this while and I plan on switching back to stock to ensure maximum efficiency as daily travel is nearing 40km now and I need to extract as many km per liter as possible. :P That said, I have a spare NGK Iridium Plug of CPR7EAIX9 rating. Wondering if I should shift to this and then see how it works. The last time I tried it was a few years ago. Had discarded it since, as it caused stuttering while riding.

Happy riding guys!

Because i had used veedol 4t premium oil twice & both time experienced bike little bit harsh at the beginning but getting smoother as oil gets older. So should continue with this oil considering fact it will also gets smoother with time?
Also changed front fork oil. Bike front suspension getting smoother with more kms it covering.
Now the issue i am facing
If i ride bike alone & leave hands off the handle bike travels straight. But in case i am with pillion & do the same, it turns to left instead of going in straight line. Showed this ASC, mech there told me that this is due improper Tyre fitment on front alloy wheel, while his supervisor told me bike is good, there is no problems. Tell me guys why is it happening.?
What could be problem?
Thanx in advance.
I have always advices to use 10W 30 and for new bikes it is more important. I never advice anything for nothing. RohIIT has seen the benefits by following my oil recommendation, and also tappet adjustment. So my advice are always on practical experiences. Veedol 10W 30 always feels harsh immediately after oil change. Sometimes bikes feels so harsh that you think oil is not good. But once the bike pile on kilometers in the range of 200-300 km the oil feels super smooth and gets on going smoother and smoother. Let me tell you presently i am using veedol in all my bikes, Veedol 10W 30 premium in Extreme and Pleasure, while Veedol super swift in my Joy. Even i was using Veedol Blue Blood 10W 30 in my Maruti A-star, and now i am planning to use the same blue blood in my Maruti swift after the first service.

As for the pillion ask your pillion to sit properly as your pillion is sitting with more weight on one side. So with raised center of gravity, the pulling towards one side increases.

Adjust the tappets yourself. Once done why fear. Set the tappets to 0.08 mm inlet and 0.12 mm exhaust. Change the plug to CP8EA9 as recommended in manual. The other plug is not for extreme and it will cause problem because of different thread length.

So I haven't been able to source a feeler gauge yet but I know that my tappets are tight. Should I just ask the mechanic to set the tappets loose? Also what are the effects of loose tappets on mileage?

Go to any big hardware shop or ask nearest hardware shop from where does he gets his stock. I got 26Blade feeler for 320Rs which suffices my needs . Do check feeler blades bearing thickness of .02 to .12mm atleast . You cannot loosen tappets just by guessing . Loose tappets will damage rockers and create dreaded tik tik tik tik noise . Just follow bloggingwheel's guide and before that get feeler .

Why not buy it online? I could find plenty on eBay!

Stanley Specialty Tools 70115 S 25 Blade Master Short Feeler Gauge SET | eBay

This one costs 330 with free shipping!

Mine is from Stanley as I am very particular with either Eastman, Taparia or Stanley for hand tools. Bad quality hand tools can do more harm that good. The Feeler Gauge set cost me around 600 I think. Quality is of course, top notch.

I live in a city that many sites don't ship to and almost none ship to my pincode. And I searched a lot and found only one shop with feeler gauge but that one was .5 to .8 mm. Will see if any site ships one to me.
Also,I don't have internet banking facilities yet.

So, this is what the spark plug looked like today. First time I'm checking it after the service. It pretty much looks like what it did before, which @sibun described to be perfect.

Also, those obnoxious sounds the bike used to make are gone. Here is a video showing the before and after of the same. Will help people understand how the bike sounds when the rocker arms are gone as well.

Is the one of after service the sound on a hot engine ?
N when you say rocker arms gone as well are you referring to rocker arms+cam shaft or rocker arms+ tappets loose/tight...
N one more question as I'm sort of a noob on this topic ..does the sewing machine type noise come when tappets are loose or tight ?

It is the sound of the bike on a hot engine.

I'm not sure if the camshaft really made any noise as such. It was just rough. Apart from that this video was just the rocker arms I assume.

When tappets are tight, you won't get any noise at all. :P But on the other hand, when they're loose, they create a racket.
