re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
yes you need to replace the rectifier. coil rewinding is not necessary for 55/60.. Glamour comes with 4Ah battery right? If you plan to use 55/60 you need to replace the battery also.. we recently converted my friends glamour to full dc..Originally posted by chulubuly View Post

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
This thread has got monotonous as no one is posting photos of bikes, simply post after post.
On the eve of 15th august i had to return home in night. So on 14th august when i left office it was 5 pm and after i rode for 60 km i touched highway and by that time it had gotten dark. Decided to keep speeds under 65 kph due to headlight, but the headlight was so bright and also bike was pulling hard i had trouble keeping it under 70 kph. On the way had to fill up as being the next day a holiday all pumps will be closed.
So here some photos:-
After filling her up giving it some rest:-
The pump in night. When i see photos of pump in night on different threads here and in team bhp it sends a thrill in me:-
Another photo with parking light on from front.

actually i'm not going for 55/60 bulb.i'm going to use the bulb (30/35) which came with my bike.since this is an EFI bike, will converting to full DC affect the other electronic systems like ECU etc ? thank you.Originally posted by sandeepcf View Postyes you need to replace the rectifier. coil rewinding is not necessary for 55/60.. this is nothing to worry about, but the gasket to be replaced asap. otherwise the oil level will drop and vibration will come and ofcourse will decrease performance.Originally posted by SJD2342 View PostSo I just returned from a long ride through a rather bad road and noticed my engine leaking oil.
Do I need to replace the cylinder head gasket? And will this leak hamper the performance of the bike in any way?
one thing, while replacing gasket ask ASC to do for oil topup.
i guess you are not using Hero oil..??

one of my friend fitted 55W bulb in his hunk. he didnt change electrical though. just pluged out the 35w and fitted 55W. his battery is fine and its been more than 6 months since he fitted.Originally posted by sandeepcf View Postyes you need to replace the rectifier. coil rewinding is not necessary for 55/60.. initially i though to fit 55W electrical work to be done. but after seeing my friend, iam thinking to give it a try.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
I believe ECU takes power from battery only.. so no issues will arise with full DC conversion. And if you intend to use 35/35 on battery, I sincerely advice you not to go for DC conversion. 35/35 on DC is not brighter than original configuration.Originally posted by chulubuly View Postactually i'm not going for 55/60 bulb.i'm going to use the bulb (30/35) which came with my bike.since this is an EFI bike, will converting to full DC affect the other electronic systems like ECU etc ? thank you.

So finally I have changed my fork oil to Motul (Rs. 140) and both front fork oil seal with genuine parts and bought a good quality bike cover too, damping has become hard as I want stiffer fork, but fail to get Veedol engine oil anywhere in Delhi
And I found a decent shop in KB, who sells all kind of genuine spare parts of Hero, will share the address soon

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Hello Friends,
On Sunday, I performed my first DIY to replace the brake fluid of front as well as rear disc brakes of my xtreme by referring to Drifty's post in the DIY section.
One of my friend was also there to help me, since this job becomes quite simple if two people are working.
Requirement:
1. 11mm ring spanner for front disc bleeder nut
2. 8mm ring spanner for rear disc bleeder nut.
3. Around 1 metre of plastic pipe (preferably transparent)
4. Empty bottle
5. Star type screw driver for opening the master cylinder cap
6. KBX DOT3 brake fluid (Although DOT4 fluid is the preferred one, but I couldn't source it so used DOT3 instead
)
Steps:
1. First of all, I opened the Master cylinder cap, and removed the diaphragm.
2. Then I connected one end of pipe to the bleeder nut and the other end to the plastic bottle.
3. After that, I asked my friend to pump the brake lever 10-12 times, and then I opened the bleeder nut while my friend kept the brake lever fully pressed.
4. Old fluid was pumped out through the pipe, and my friend kept topping up the master cylinder with fresh DOT 3 oil,
and most importantly brake lever was never released during this operation.
5. When the fluid stopped coming out through the pipe, I tightened the bleeder nut and then asked my friend to release the lever.
6. Step no. 3 to 5 was repeated 2-3 times till fresh brake fluid started coming out from the bleeder nut.
Same steps were followed for the rear disc brake as well.
Now, the brake lever sponginess is gone, and I can feel the original bite.
Thanks a lot Drifty for your nice and simple explanation, because of which I was able to perform this DIY
Below is the link of Drifty's post for the benefit of all those people who are looking to do this job on their own.
I could not take many picture, because my hands were dirty, but there are a couple of images for your reference.
1. KBX DOT3 Brake Fluid
2. Set-up for Front Disc brake
