    Thanks!
Xtreme that has run 53k in 2years ! Be extra cautious before buying it.
And what is your mechanic's point here - " it's good coz it's not really smooth"?
What is the reason for sale by previous owner?

Sorry.. It's 2012 march model not 2013. The seller says that he's finding the bike too heavy to ride as he needs to travel frequently everyday for his work purpose. After taking the bike for test drive, the mechanic is saying it's good as the engine is good. Please advise.
      Thanks!

The SAL bore is drinking oil after nearly 3 years...only this time i noticed it around 200 ml its drinking every 3 months...also lost compression yesterday and for the valve job got it done outside the SC from a trusted mechanic for 1K...now the compression is good....the engine felt very rough before the valve job now it feels like new engine....sprocket and tyre both gone....going to replace it tomorrow with diamond sprocket and CEAT gripp....also guys i enquired about replacing my spring shock absorbers @ SC they are quoting Rs 1450 for a single shock.....when i asked outside this shop quoted me Rs 1600 a pair...why such a huge price ?

Hi long time. Really long. That much oil consumption is ok. How much on odo. I am sure will be at 1.2 lacs km.

As for tyre change rear to zapper q nv series as its radial, and front to ceat secura zoom grips like leech even in wet.
The svc is quoting correct as that's the price. You are lucky you have plain hydraulic shocks. The gas one of ours costs ₹2k each and doesn't lasts as long. Only gripe of my bike.

And the guy who is enquiring for used bike what's the price he is quoting.

Looking for a way to reduce my Hunks petrol tanks vibration as it continues to increase right from 4k rpm.
              Any modification idea?
Hero hunk's 2014 models are coming with core 2 series engines and even after 20k kms engine is yet to fully free up (1 guess 80% done)
What a tight cylinder!!!!! Must have been done for the 5years warranty....

Yeah so many things happened in my life that i lost track of time and for the most part neglected my bike ...except for the oil change.

Believe it or not i by chance saw the zoom tubeless when i was making the purchase today...as the price diff. was only Rs 100 i got the Tubeless zoom.
the tyre guys installed a valve on the rim for the tubeless tyre as my old xtreme 's rim only supports tube type. The valve cost Rs 50 so total damage was Rs 1550 + 60 fitting charges.

I can get hold of Zapper q ...they are quoting Rs 2300 for the 100/90-18 tubeless...is the price OK sibun ji ? also the most important thing i wanted to ask is...is it safe to use tubeless tyre in my old tube type alloy?...i did not know about the valve mod when i got the zoom tyre today. Thanks.

As we know the Xtreme sports power has been bump up by increasing compression ratio (from 9.1 to 10:1) of the engine.

Is there any way to increase the compression ratio of our existing hunk/xtreme 14.4PS machines?

My xtreme has clocked 62.5K kms.
The engine had turned quite harsh, as it was screaming at higher rpms and there was loss in pickup as well.

Consulted my Mech and then we decided to go for Valve job. When the head was opened, this was the condition of valves
The piston crown had turned black as well.

FYI, I had replaced the block assembly @29K due to engine oil consumption. So the current set of valves (USHA Make) were around 34K kms old.

                        Hi guys.
Tonight while coming back home from office , I met with an accident near turbhe naka , navi Mumbai.
A idiot rickshaw wala on my right few meter ahead suddenly decided to take left turn , as I was riding at 60+ kmph , in panic I braked hard both the disks locked and banggg .
Next thing I remember , I was on road after colliding hard with rickshaw.
Thankfully nothing serious happend to me as I was wearing my helmet, jacket , gloves and safty shoes but my helmet took the damage , visor broken and lots of scratches due to accident.
Both the front suspension forks has got bended and front tyre lost the pressure after 15-20 min later.
Should I change the forks are get it straitened by lathe machine ? And what could be the reason of pressure loss in front tyre ?

I am sorry to hear this. By the grace of God, there is nothing serious.

You will have to fix the fork bend before riding the bike again. A little mis-alignment will cause various issues with hand/shoulder.

Check if the Front alloy is fine. If collided hard, there is a chace of alloy getting bend (very rare)

It is better to replace the alloy(approx 4000 ?) instead of getting it repaired.

if repari cost is going to be high, you may claim insurance. Not sure of you local procedures but here it is better to claim insurance telling a cattle came in the middle of the road all of a sudden than telling you hit another vehicle and fell down !!!

Guys, please correct me if I am wrong.

Really sad to know about this. Thankfully nothing serious happened to you, and don't worry about your ride, as there is nothing which can't be repaired

I did Spiti circuit last week and completed some 2K kms in 7 Days in really no roads environment and less/thin air too. While climbing to Kunzum Pass I had to give full throttle to climb myself on the top as air was less/thin there the bike was doing some 3K RPM in first gear with full throttle and managed to climb. After that at Rohtang I faced same issue for a bit of long 4-5 kms. What I experienced is that while pushing her hard I managed to climb but clutch plates worn out completely, completely means there was nothing left I was feeling like I'm riding a below 100cc bike, it stop crossing 80kmph top speed and then I had replace clutch plated at Manali. RPM needle were moving around itself without any throttle movement in any gear.

So my question is, is it really the thing that if you push it hard in absence of less/thin air, clutch plates worn out? In just 3-4 kms is this normal behavior of engine?

                                Friends,

Measured the reserver tank in CBZ xtreme 2011 model. It was exactly 1250 ML at reserve.
So, when reserve we can fill her upto 11 Litres of petrol as the total capacity is 12.1 Ltrs.
