Is it time to change the clutch plate? Or is it just because i didn't run it for long? Any idea guys?
HI, happy to see another one from Bangladesh. welcome bro.

And how old is your engine oil when you took the ride. If it is very old then performance bound to reduce a little. Otherwise i have seen very small struggle in hunk to reach 100+.
Post 7K rpm struggle in hunk, I felt struggle to go through 6k+. Seems happened to you too.

      Yes,Exactly right.

The 20w40 is also recommended for high-mileage engines , say those have run more than 50k kms on same bore .
More mileage engines? Few days back seen somewhere in the karizma's forum engine oil changed to Gulf 20W40 which has done only 320kms in the odo.. and one of my friend changed his new karizma's engine oil to gulf and that done only done 170 on odo..

Also note that here in kolkata : Gulf pride 4t 20w40 is about 200 Rs & Motul 3000 4T Plus is also 200 Rs only per liter . Most other mineral oils are around this price only . I have just purchased that same motul a few weeks back .
So mineral oils are better than Semi-Synthetic?

AFAIK thicker oils increases cooling of engines. Correct me if i am wrong.

yes you're right but think about the small pump thing which pumps the oil inside the engine.... It must be a hectic job for the motor if the oil is thick.
the other day i saw a RTR owner pouring a synthetic oil and was saying that it keeps his engine cool. I wanted to use it too. so took the can and found its 20W 40. shocking thing is its for heavier diesel engine like bus or truck. Now initially the RTR engine will go good but in long run.... You assume it.

            Thanks.
My engine oil is only 300Kms. Old. No issue with it. And reaching 100 takes same as Cbz-X (my friend was in cbz) but i remember i ate a pulsar at 115 in airport road when the bike was 3 months old. Maybe its because now its 1.5 years old...
Lets see how it performs when we'll go to Sylhet 20th this month

For diesel engine?,Old karizma's oil recommendation was 20W40,Even i have the old karizma and still HH SVC guys used 10W30 in it.What you say about this? Also many are using 20W40 in new karizma for more engine smoothness ansd easy gear shifts. Even there are some ZMR users using 15W50 on it without any issues.

              • Changing Stock Horn

                Hi all,

I am planning to change my HH hunk's stock horns.
Have a kind of feeling stock horn sound is low in heavy traffic conditions
Kindly suggest a decent horn to replace...

Ps: It should be loud.. similar to pulsar's double horn ....

Get pulsar horns,I think its 150/horn or get Roots Windtone,Very loud ,I am using it in my karizma.

Hyperedge is the best apache ever-made. What a Throttle response man....

It is original Hyperedge and yes it is 160cc. But in BD as you know it is sold as 150cc [ in papers for name-sake ] . They just change the stickers to make it look like 150cc.

So mineral oils are better than Semi-Synthetic?
Hahaha , yes .. even I am doting on my newer bikes .
My humble opinion ; the best oil for bike engines is fresh new oil ; that is oil poured out of a new bottle opened just now . So I buy cheap minerals and change around 1500km use , dutifully . Rather than buy more expensive synthetic oil and drag it on for more to get my moneys worth out of a tired old oil . I'd rather spend more on petrol and ride more , even aimlessly around town ... .
Buy real synthetics or minerals . I don't believe in semi semi anything .

That is because the 10w30 is all they have now . There is no HeroHonda 20w40 .They even oil my air-filter foam and drive chain with that thin runny oil . The original recommendation ( in all old herohonda owner manuals ) was for servo multigrade 20w40 , honda too says 20w40 for unicorn ,so their bike's oils pumps being unable to pump a 20w40 etc etc advices appears to a a load of bull to me .

                        • just booked a hunk dual disk, will have to wait 3 days for the black colour. I hope i took the right decision.

I would really appreciate if any one could give a link to some thread that will guide me how to handle a new hhh to get longer and smoother engine life and optimum FE
                          Thanks

15w50 motul 5100 is the best oil i have used till now but still for zma/zmr ill prefer gulf pride 4t+ 20w40 over any other engine oil.
my mech said that i can use 15w50 in summer but i should avoid it in winter, and he said that using a 20w40 oil will give my bike a longer hasslefree life and suggested that i should quit using HH oil asap coz it is crap.

No one buys used oil for their bikes.

Is your bike HH? I think hero honda uses paperfilter.... Oiling paper filter???
