How do you remove the rear body panel of Dio (102cc - 2011) completely after lifting it up like car-bonnet?

After you lift it up from the front, it is hinged at the rear (just under the rear grab rail) - there are no nuts but just two circular rubber bushes at either side of the frame (do not lose them)
lift it up the body at say 30-45deg and gently push back to release the rear and then lift it up in one piece - place one had at the front part of seat and other on the grab rail and gently lift as u push it a wee bit back. this dislodges the body from the frame/rubber bushes.
and while putting it back you first need to seat the rear on to the rubber bushes and only then drop the front.
Takes some tries before you perfect it.. be gentle and slow, if you use force you may end up damaging the panels (which are more expensive than a cbr 250s panels now lol)

Last time I lifted back panel, I noticed those two round bushes and they came off. I replaced them to their position during reassembly.
I didn't know grab rail slides up together with panel; will try next time.

Yes, it does.. as i said use both ur hands , one at the front of the seat with your fingers pointed towards the luggage hook and the other holding the grab rail.. lift - slide - lift entire body UP.

Oh **** ! is it ??silencer heat shield ?! I put in dent on mine last night while removing it from the parking lol, and was wondering if i should buy a spare and keep it before it becomes extinct.
Most ASC's will simply say they not available.. you can ask them to order one for you. I highly doubt its extinct. If not write to Honda via email and watch the magic
Meanwhile i'll also check at the svc and let you know.

              RYNOX GPS MOUNT REVIEW:

Hi guys I purchased myself a much need GPS mount for my Honda Dio.

              HISTORY:

I recently visited my friend in BTM Layout(without knowing proper route info.), Bangalore & I found it very hard to navigate in busy Bangalore streets. Whoaaa
It was so hard to stopping so frequently to ask directions.
So, I decided to buy myself Bike GPS mount.

Review: I purchased my Rynox GPS mount at Lets Gear Up in HSR Layout, Bangalore for Rs.850/-. The lady at the shop was kind enough to try the product on my vehicle before I purchased it. I purchased it & returned home.

Then came the tricky installing part on the scoot.
I couldn't directly fit it on handle bars as they were too big in diameter(Clamps wouldn't align properly to tight the screw). So I found a appropriate place on the left mirror stem. Two rubber lining strips are already given in the box to grip the clamps properly.

I added some more rubber strips of same measurements on original rubber strips to accommodate fairly thin mirror stem, to make sure the mount didn't shake or slide while riding.

The mount has a big butterfly nut to secure two clamps. The zippered case which is waterproof & dust proof.

I ve been using it to travel to "never visited before places".
Saved myself some wrong turns. Hehe

              Thanks for reading,
              Cheers.

Lol.. keep your eyes on the road. Maybe i should get one too.. I can never find my way around once when i shifted my house to a new locality, i got lost on my way back from work and had to ask a friend to come and pick me up.Took me 4 days to figure out the route lol. Hyderabad has bad road naming conventions with most lanes having no names.

And just don't forget to take your mobile/gps device from the holder when you park May i suggest you use a long nylon/rubber spiral chain like you get on keychains that go from the ignition to the petrol lock used on motorcycles or the ones that come with these disc brake locks as a 'reminder' cable. That way you can attach one end of the cable to the gps mount and the other to your key/keychain. Something like this Keychain Spiral String With Hook AND Spring TO Hold While YOU Drive 1 PC | eBay

EP stands for 'extreme pressure' and this oil has EP additives that do a better job at protecting the gears. The viscosity of EP90 oil is similar to a w40 oil but with the added advantage of the EP additives.

But these scooter gear boxes being really puny and are not under heavy load/stress, should be fine even with a regular engine oil.. EP has more 'masala' in it ;-) and costs same and should last longer (i.e. if you want to keep it for say a year). Like i said better safe than sorry :-)

Talked with Service manager at svc,He said either SAE90 oil or 10W30 oil can be used for gear. Did first service,Replaced engine oil and gear oil. Total Bill 355 INR.

355 ? can you let us know the split up ? I guess engine oil is around 250 for 800ml, so what did you use for the gear box ? the same 10w30 or the ep90 ?
