    Got delivery of Activa Dx -Silver !!

    Hi Friends,

    Yesterday i got delivery of my Activa Dx in Silver Color.

    Purchasing experience at Swarup Honda was pathetic! I went there on Saturday to complete the paper work & finalise the scooter before registration. They had only one scooter in the color I wanted. It was having loose panels due to inexplicable reasons. I asked if they could show me another scooter with same color. I was told that being Saturday, they had skeletal staff. I therefore, decided to wait till next day to finalise my scooter & take delivery.

    I went in the morning to showroom. Paperwork didn't take much time. I was handed over the keys & explained the basic function of the scooter by the guard !!!!!!

    Fortunately, he was helpful; knowledgeable & nice. I sincerely hope that my Activa proves to be a better product than its dealer.

      Congratulations first. Most of the Honda dealers are pathetic, unlike the products. Anyway, you will never speak to them again, so do not worry much and enjoy the bike.

        My New Honda Activa Dx

        Hi Ravi,
        Thanx for the wishes!
        I haven't heard highly of Honda After Sales Service either hence I would like to keep my fingers crossed.
        Didn't get a chance to run my Activa much so far. I have basically purchased it for running errands . I must say however that driving a gearless two wheeler is a breeze in stop & go situations.

          what fe are you guys getting on the 105 cc activa? i am getting a pathetic 28-35 (i go 40-50 max ,i am a sane rider),i even get the servicing done regularly.also my activa doesnt start properly with both kick and electric. i think the battery has become weak.should i change the battery?i am frustrated with this vehicle!

            hi frnz,I own an 2004 dec model activa in absolutely prime condition,done 17000kms so far wth no probs,mileage between 45 to 50 kmpl.I want to ask has ny1 done any modification to his/her activa,dio with regards to looks??I mean fitting of neon lights etc??

              Took a New Dio for my Father.
              A Red 1.

              Changed its engine oil as per my Standard practice of changing oil withing 100kms.
              Used the Motul 30004tplus.

              The Sales staff are OK here.
              The Customer service skills of the Sales manager is exceptional.
              He made me feel comfortable inspite of many short comings.

              Planning to change to Motul Fully synthetic Oil at 600kms at the first service.

                Congrats Prabhakar. Does it have the new color schemes with handle bar weights, visous air filter, and MF battery? Today I have seen it on the road and it looked super sexy.

                What is the onroad Price? Does a full face helmet goes under the seat?

                  Guys i own a 2007 Black and gray Dio....Just wanted to know like when or how frequent should i change the engine oil for my dio...it has clocked around 8k kms....have changed oil only twice as far as i can rem....any problem in that???

                    The Oil needs to be changed for every 3000km or 6months which ever earlier if its a mineral oil.
                    For Fully synthetic oil its 6000km or 1year.

                      My '03 activa is about to reach the figure of "696969" after 20 kms

                      It has not been serviced (oil change) from last 4k kms.
                      1) Is there any routine service (like the 75k service interval for cars) to be done?
                      3weeks back i replaced the clutch belt for 5xx rs. (genuine honda belt)

                      2) Can the Combi brake of the new activa be fitted on the old one? Has anybody done it till now? is it worth doing it, i mean will there be any difference in braking?

                      I have no other problem as of now (touch wood )

                      Wonderful scoot for traffic, have been riding it from past 3months for 35km/day 5days a week.
                      There are good visible scratches and lil dents all over the body. planning to paint it white soon

                        Congo Prabhakar anna.....as you know, i got a blue one for the time being. Mine has clocked close to 4000 km, should i change the oil and if yes to which brand and grade?

                          I'm changing it to Motul 300v Fully synthetic.
                          Grade can either be 15w50 or 10w40.
                          I currently have 15w50.
                          If I get the 10w40 I'll use that.
                          Its cheaper too.

                          @VAS

                          U can change it to COMBI braking.

                              yes indeeed the new DIO is ultra sexy. good combination of graphics. saw the bar end weights also. kinda tapering at the end. looks cool..
