  • HonDa activa 2004 modeL a gem

Last week i sold my beloved hero honda karizma for YZF-R15 and booked competition white color R15 but delivery is on august so there is long wait and i need some vehicle for my means of transport so got to my old friend my ACTIVA the first two wheeler of mine. after i got karizma my dad not sold it because on some sundays he used it for going to market etc and sometimes when i have to go with my mom and i am feeling lazy to get my car out. so the reason of all this story is that from past 3 years its average run per week was 5-10 kms maX barely and my dad get it serviced quaterly so now when i used it i thought that all charm of it may be finished bUt when i used it from past 8-9 days oh my god itz still new. accelration top speed [85] even the throttle is butter smooth like new one and guess what its giving me mileage of 50+ last time i got 55kmpl from it oh my god i was stunned[ my driving is very ruthless i suddenly accelarate it and take it to its top speed 85 many times in a day so good riding is not there i use it like my karizma] So the conclusion is activa is great from past years no spare part change is done only serviced and oil changed. some of my freinds got meilage less than 40kmpl from their new activas [the new stickered ones not the new model] but OLD activas are gems the generation vehicle i must say now i will enjoy it till i get my R15 delivered on august...!!

    thanks for reading.....

        • Hi Guys! I have a Dio that is used by my dad. As you all know, the stock headlight sucks.

Could you please suggest a better bulb, preferably with stock ratings (higher would also do). Also if you can let me know the availability & price.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I guess Dio does not have Halogen bulb. Replace it with Halogen bulb and buy it from Honda spares only (made in Germany, 190 bucks). The illumination will definitely increase, but I cannot give guarantee about the spread of the beam. You have to experiment and see.
