Thanks! I too doubt if stock bulb is halogen, need to check.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Haven't made any change so far man. Was thinking to try & do something over the weekend.
I thought the new Dio's halogens are good (someone had updated this in the 'Let there be light' thread)!! I was infact going to go in for these.
Looks like I will have to try something else now.
Let me know in case you come up with something.

No, the new Dio hasn't been upgraded with the halogens...its the same old school bulb which comes as stock.

See below for what I was talking about. Will have to look for an alternative now.

                  • Hey guys today i got my New Activa DLX serviced from a Honda SVC. Although it was her First service but the experience was pathetic and a surprise. I have a RTR180 and atleast TVS SVC experience is better than Honda one. Although they washed the vehicle but it was not clean and it was very much visible. They put some Friction oil along with the regular engine oil.
                    Friction oil: Rs. 190
                    Engine oil: Rs. 153
And they also haven't changed the oil filter. When inquired abt friction oil thing, they told that they put this in every Honda vehicle come there for service. Guys i am not very much clear abt Friction oil and oil filter change? Could you people shred some light on these two?
Seems like i have been fooled

Mail to Honda customer care about the friction oil. Let the Honda know how the service stations are minting money.

friction oil? It might be Gear Oil. Its usually replaced at the first service.

Surprised that oil filter was not changed.

As far as i know in a four stroke vehicle usually we put engine oil only which do the work for whole engine unit and gearbox also. Moreover they put this Friction oil along with the Engine oil in the same oil container of the vehicle.
Could you guys tell me how much you are charged in a free service for engine oil, oil filter and any other additive (like in my case its Friction oil)?

And could you guys please help me with the email address of HMSI where i can drop a mail(complaint)?

Maybe they are talking about the nulon engine treatment. But am not sure about it since it costs only 110. I dont think the activa has anything like oil filter. But yeah i have once seen a chamber near the rear wheel for gear oil but i dont know about this friction oil. As ravi had already said earlier send a mail to honda & they will try to solve your problem.

@all:- Is there anything as oil filter in the activa. I have a dio & have never got my oil filter replaced & never even heard of it.
Are you guys talking about air filter??

                            • A problem appeared with my Activa:

It has started taking Hicc-ups. I got it serviced recently. What might be the problem?

P.S:-i am not even sure of power1 since i have used it with nulon.
