Last time I rode to Mahabaleshwar which is 130 kms one way from my house. While returning back, I ripped the heck out of my bike. It was fun. It did 80+ kmph on highway with no problem.

Coming to reason for the less number of this bike on road is, mileage. This bike would mostly would give 40-45 kmpl on a given day provided you followed co. instructions about proper run-in. In a mileage obsessed crowd this bike doesnt fair well. What if I tell you this bike gives 3-4 kmpl less than Unicorn but it has top speed equivalent of Unicorn. It also has top speed at par with Hunk not sure about CBZ. I touched 110 kmph on an open stretch on highway.

Like I said before and now saying it again. This bike is capable of doing much more things that many people think of.

My bike will be 4 year old next Feb and I still love it.
thanks all.... happy to hear our bike is much better than i thought .. looking forward to some looong rides pretty soon.

Typical thing to do is wait for 2-3 days for the adjustments to sort of settle down & then check again...unless of course if something's affecting your riding capability...what adjustments had you told the service people to make or was it just a general service..

Typically that should not happen. Please check engine oil level first. If it persist you can visit the service center and get it sorted.

As lalitp has said first thing to do is check engine oil level..then check for clutch lever play, whether within limits or not. Also the chain slackness has to be within the specified limits..

After riding for few days the bike is somewhat like before now. may the oil change was causing that.

just did my longest ride so far on szr. 160 + 160 . Bike behaved pretty cool and gave no trouble. engine heat was fine. On highways was able to reach 80 easily, after that engine felt like stressed out. may be its not meant to do above that .

Yes ep452, szr is built to give you decent mileage, and good low and mid range torque, it's purely a city bike, so after 80 the engine will start running out of breath and the bike is feeling stressed.

Want to get my carb tuned for mileage, getting around 35-38 now on moderate/low traffic

found some air fuel meter that can be used for tuning in amazon us for around 2500 rs. will it be worth it? I once did it from authorized service center an no change in mileage :-(

or any idea about places in pune where they do tuning using gas analyzers ??

Engine break-in for new bike is very important.Read the part about break-in in the owners manual atleast 4-5 times so that you never forget to follow it.
Apart from that, find out the best service center in your city(/area) for your free services..
And also after 1000km please do change 1.engine oil, 2.engine oil filter & 3."engine oil strainer".
Just follow your owners manual very carefully & the bike will keep you happy.
thanks for your comment

Manual says- 0 to 500 kms, at any gear, do not cross 4500 RPM mark and never ride with a constant RPM- but SZ don't have the RPM meter so i can’t calculate the RPM while raiding.so i raiding in 5 th gear at 40 to 45 KPH , 4th gear 30 to 40 KPH and 1 & 3rd 0 to 30KPH.. is it right?

also while going on bridge (up or downward) my handle bar giving too much wobbling (up and down side) anyone have idea why it’s happening?
(normal flat road i am not facing any issues only in slope)..

Getting mileage 42km/l (mileage calculated from reserve to reserve in Chennai traffic)

Yes at 4500rpm:- 5th gear -as you said 45kmph , 4th gear-38 kmph, 3rd-upto 30kmph, 2nd-around20 1st-around 15.
All these speeds are approximate for your new bike & these will be speeds given till the actual run-in does not happen where the metal surfaces in contact will rub with each other & form a mating pair.
Do not even get tempted to go faster.
And about wobbling issue lots of things running through my mind like suspension (rear & of course front) & improperly tightened coneset/shocks but I better not say anything than give wrong advice. Seniors may help here.
But still would advise this even though giving no problem on flats:-check/fill tyre pressure at places having digital readout of the air pressure. (28-29psi front & 33-34 rear, only on cold tires& compensate if you ride even 1 km to go to fill air)
And please do not hope for high mileage until after the 3rd/4th servicing.

If I'm following you correctly I think the pipe being talked about here is the 'open' "end" pipe which is attached on the left hand side of carb...I think it's for the pressure equalisation with the atmosphere required by the carb..At least this is what I gathered from reading about it on the forum...
Experts please correct if I'm wrong.
P.s: when this pipe got removed from my bikes carb the open hole became dirty very fast with petrol & dirt dried together sticking to it..

My sz retunrd 48kmpl economy till 10000km.. Then it suddenly dropped. Then it gave 35-7kmpl consistently... So i tuned it right.. After a number of times.. I feel the r8 mix of afr is to set the sf screw @4.5 full anticlock turn!! Now again it is returning 45-6kmpl.. Hope that helps other sz riders!
