You know what a lean tuned bike feels like. So you can safely turn the AFR screw anti clockwise and make it richer. I'm sure you'll end up making it richer than it should but you'll know what too rich feels like. Then you can start making it leaner in small steps and see which setting gives you the best combination of acceleration and smooth ride.
I know this advice sounds too vague and not systematic but this is how I have solved the problem when it happened to my bike. Until you know what too lean or too rich feels like you won't know what perfect is.
Before you try changing the AFR always count how many turns the default setting is so you can revert back to it in case you screw things badly.
In any case rich is better than lean.
And feel free to ask me any doubts. I'll be happy to help you.

      Richly tuned:
      1. Very bad fuel economy (obvious fact)
      2. Very sluggish acceleration. No matter how hard you rip the throttle it just won't accelerate,in any gear.
      3. Engine stays cool.
      4. Sometimes when you pull in the clutch and let off the throttle the rpm doesn't fall to idle but hangs. You have to blip the throttle to bring it back to idle.

      Lean tuned:
      1. Very good fuel economy (again obvious)
      2. Excessive amount of acceleration at low rpm but loses its punch at mid rpms.
      3. Very difficult to maintain a constant speed. The rpm surges even with steady throttle. You cannot maintain slow speeds in traffic without using the clutch. Even then it's like controlling a bull.
      4. Engine runs very hot. You don't even have to accelerate. Even at idle it's hotter than it should.
      5. Engine vibrates a lot especially at high rpms in lower gears.

Things common to both rich and lean:
      1. The transition from on throttle to off throttle is not smooth. Even If you gently roll off the throttle you'll get a jerk and will experience excessive engine braking which feels like hitting the front brake.

      2. Clutch action is not smooth. In stop and go traffic when you have to constantly engage and disengage the clutch it will be jerky.

On biking forums on the Web it is reported that a lean condition improves as the engine heats while rich condition worsens. But from my experience this happens only in case of slightly rich or lean. If you experience this symptom then you are only quarter or half turn away from the perfect AFR.

My personal benchmark for perfect AFR is point 1 common to both. If you can abruptly close the throttle without any jerk or excessive engine braking then you have a perfect AFR

You are welcome. I recommend you unscrew one full turn ( 360 degree) anticlockwise and see how the bike feels. It will make it smoother. Then turn it quarter turn clockwise if you are not satisfied with the acceleration.

You will not get a Yamaha branded break pads.. Though I have never checked what's written on them.. Yamaha also outsource them.
