Scared the bejesus out of me. I managed to reach office riding extra cautious and using the rear brake prominently. Is this normal in heavy rains? By the time i returned home at night, the bite was much better but still not close to what it should be. I got my brake pads changed about 2 months back and I am a sedate rider. Its the brakes after all so I am totally paranoid.
Are you using oem brake pads or anything else like ASK or ANL. If so these asbestos brake pads have a tendency to loose their bite when wet.

Shall do that asap. No messing around with brakes 😱

Stock brake pads sir. This is quite worrisome. Could it also be an issue with the brake line\ fluid?

Wet disc, muck on pads, oil on pads/disc; could be anything.
Since brakes had a sign of bite later that day, brake-lines seems ok. Inspect the lines and fluid level anyway.

Try to clean those brake-pads and disc using soap/detergent water on a sunny day.

Please help.. My FZ16 v1.0 . The tic tic noise from the engine. Its not creating a typical smooth engine sound which the FZ is known for. I have told the service guys but all of no use. Whenever the engines heats up a little the noise starts coming. Only in rainy days or driving in rains the noise is not there. Sometimes its not there for 1 or 2 days but starts again. It behaves like the engine is having some mood swings.. please help. Suggest some good mechanic. I am from bangalore.

Fz v.2 has got one of the best engine refinement. Please dont make any alteration as it will definately void warranty. May lower the engine calibre. Any after market alteration to engine and its components will lead to the void the warranty. After all you didnt went after fz for its exhaust note.. didnt you?!!

hey thanks for the reply....actually after riding it for 6 months I am now getting bored of it...so thinking of some SMALL mods to keep it interesting riding it...just say sprocketing that has nothing to with relability and can be easily revert back when I want...2 reason is nowdays seeing so many fzs with aftermarket exhaust giving me temptations to try something. .. and brother fzv2 even after ripping for an hour still keeps it refinement like no other bike thats the reason I bougth it...I hop you got point...

You Can change sprocket. Help you for higher speed gain but low down city torque. Just dont tell service guys. They wont know.
