      What exactly do you mean by tappets?
      Well, AFR is mostly corrected manually, in case of carburetter bikes.

      About Tappets, these are the mechanisms which enable movement of the valves, according to the 4 strokes (cycles) of combustion.
      Your FZ has 1 Inlet Valve to let in Air+Fuel through Carburettor, and 1 other valve to let out the burnt gases.
      These valves are continuously opening and closing.

      When Tappets are wrongly adjusted, Valves opening tightly, and this works against torque & performance. And yes, Mileage too.

        NO NO NO.. My bike comes into life just at the touch of the starter(early mornings!).. my bike is just 700kms old though

          My red FZ will be one year old in two weeks has done 10560kms till now..no self-start problems till now..everything still works and feels like new

            yes thats enough...also be careful in switch gear and spark plug area..this may give you starting problem...

              Hey guys i got the fz today its custom painted pearl white color
              will post the pictures later
              Any specific runin guide i need to follow other then maintaining speed between 50-55kmph..

                Hi Dude !

                My bike ha done 1900 ODO. 1st service done ....
                Before service the millage was 46 aftr service it has reduced to 36 i went to service centre and told them the issue thy adjusted something and told tht it'll be fine aftr tht millage is 40, but now the pick up has reduced drastically...
                I dont feel the pulling power in 1st & 2nd gears also when i go at a speed of 80 there is a light vibration.
                When am at 100+ once i close the throttle engine gets off and doesnt start for some time it hapd twice .......

                Is it a major issue?
                Help me out!

                    HI Frnds.

                    Today I got my new FZ16 Limited Edition.. Already clocked 65 km in a less then 12 hrs. Simply amazing bike.. Looking forward for lots of support from you guys since this is my 1st bike & can ride well but have almost zero knowledge in maintenance.
                    So here r d some of d pics of my bike along with FZ-S of my best frnd

                            i think your bike is running in lean air fuel mixture..the service guy must have set your bike to run in lean mixture as u have said him that u dont get better mileage..lean mixture may give u slightly better fuel economy but can cause low pickup.vibration.engine turning off & engine over heating..
                            check whether your engine is at correct idling speed..(refer page 6-11) in your FZ Owner's manual for 'Adjusting the engine Idling speed'..this may rectify your problem..

                              Congrats man..FZ LE looks neat..you are in the right place for your maintenance assistance ........you wont have any issues with your FZ wen you do regular servicing..its a damn reliable piece of machinery.

                                I kno its amazing piece of engineering & dats y i got it since I'm a beginner & dint wanted 2 face much issues wit day 2 day maintenance.. But anyways I simply love my machine so I wanna devote as much as I can towards its maintenance since I'm planning to carry forward for atleast another 2-3 years wit this baby []
