point taken will keep tht in mind..

i have been using my FZ for more than a year...it has clocked 11ooo+kms..no issues till now...still feels and rides like new..regular servicing is alone enough

Yamaha Customer Satisfaction Drive??

Hey Guys, I think the guys at Yamaha are on a customer satisfaction drive. I got a call from them on Friday and was asked to highlight the problems.

It turned out, on saturday, we did a mileage test on my bike and it came 31-32 KMPL. When of there guys rode it, it was 35KMPL. So they will be looking into it and god knows what they will do about it. But as of now they have promised to change the rear mud guard and the rear tyre rim. (the rim because its paint was peeling off.)
I had other complaints like rusting of the chain and low pickup. So they said they will be looking into it.

Waiting to see what they come up with.

PS: My ODO was reading 15168 KMs in the morning!!

thanks torino...i thought the showroom guys did that purposefully...caz i felt like the showroom guys in my place was not perfect and they give things only when we ask it explicitly...when i took the bike delivery, they didnt mention anything about additional stuffs...i checked the bike and got some receipts...tats all...n next day, i came and asked them user manuals, few freebies like key chain, cap, they replied, "sorry sir, we forget to give manuals, sorry sir, we forget the freebies"....i got tensed of these guys reply..

yes...i too got phone calls after my first & second service and i get SMS's reminding me about next service intervals and how was the last servise..
paint peeling off!!!!...thats bad paint job..is the paint coming off in anyother place in the bike????

Same here, got delivery of my FAZER on 1st September. No scratching and stuff, didnt even know it. All of a sudden on day got an SMS saying I've won 1500 Rs.
Went to the showroom showed him the SMS and got a cheque.

guyz is there any possibilities to change fz stock front and rear tyre to pirelli or bridgestone or any other?

im doing a survey for all bikes actually

Guys I experienced a strange problem with my FZ today.. I usually turn off the ignition as well as the engin kill switch when parking my bike so today I did the same while parking my bike on a busy road for about half an hour & then I returned & just switched on the engine kill switch (while the keys of my FZ were still in my pocket) & suddenly my frnd noticed that bike has already started. I was shocked to see the digital console in switched on mode without any keys. Next thing I did was start my bike & it started easily as if keys are inserted. Me & my frnd was totally shocked. Then I inserted my key, & turned off the ignition, took out my keys & again tried to start my bike without keys but it didnt work this time. We tried all sorts of adjustments but the bike was not starting this time without keys.
Any idea wats wrong with d bike? (my frnd who has a FZ saiys he faced d same probllem once bt never again)
So plc guys be careful to recheck ur bike once u remove out the keys.

PS: My handle was'nt locked so anyone could hav got away with my FZ, but on 2nd thoughts, my self fitted petrol lock works pretty well so nobody could hav driven my FZ without petrol lock keys for more then a few hundred metres

may be there is a loose connection between Ignition and Engine kill switch...or may be the Ignition key was not fully brought to the OFF position before taking the key off(may be there is a fault with the Ignition and lock assembly....

FZ 16 Crash .....

Clocked around 8000 + kms on ODO. Had my First fall yesterday..

I was taking a sharp U Turn on a bad road , pretty Fast.. around 80 Km/hr+.
I had to bend down so hard that my knees touched the road and the road was filled with sand. Bike started skidding and the Worst thing I did was to apply the Brakes.. Doesnt remeber anything else... :-)

Came to senses when few guys came running , picked up the bike and picked me up also.. To my surprise , there was not much scratch on the bike but the Handle Bar took the Full impact of the fall. Didnt have a crash guard fitted yet..

Took her to the service center today and they reported a Bent Handle bar and Bent front Forks. :-( . I asked them to replace whatever they want. but the SVC guys told that they can correct the Front fork bend by using " Hydraulic press " and replace handle bar and some other components

Total cost Quoted was 2000 Rs. I want my bike to be good as new.. Does Servicing the forks impact the ride ?? should I go for a replacement.. ??

Imp point every one.. Always wear a Helmet.. it saved my life..

Fix Crash guard by spending 500 Rs.. I could have saved 2000 bucks.. :-)
