yes... u would hav to pay a percentage of the total cost of replacement.
but i personally would replace them... the no claim bonus amount works out to just a couple of hundred rupees... and that's not reason enough for me not to change the forks as opposed to fixing them..

@malikkhan - better to get the puc done and certificate kept on the bike. here its valid for three months, and better to get it redone for like 30-40 rs, than get into a hassle with the cops.

new bike does not need PUC for 1 year.....so if its above 1 year then yes every 3 months you have to get it done.Originally posted by jd666 View Post@malikkhan - better to get the puc done and certificate kept on the bike. here its valid for three months, and better to get it redone for like 30-40 rs, than get into a hassle with the cops.

i wonder why u r getting so many punctures, its better go for second option, if tyre is improved it should get less punctures, but try to confirm it from some source is it really improved, cuz i have not heard from anyone till now about it.Originally posted by avneetrekhi20 View PostHi Guys,
More Bad News..
Even Mushroom puncture is NOT foolproof solution for fixing an FZ tyre.. I got 3 mushroom punctures done 3 months back and to my horror, all seemed to be leaking.
MRF is giving me two choices -
a) To get a new having same features as it has now for 150 odd rs and return the old one.
b) To get a new tyre (which they have specially designed for FZ after all the complaints) and get it for half the price and when tyre life is over, then rest of the price will be returned.
I am in dilemna what to do. please help.

@mindgrinder - i wish you could explain it to the cop who stalled me for over fifteen minutes, and finally i had to pay him around 250 bucks to let me go. why take the hassle man.

in those cases ask for court challan, take your PUC and present in court, always ask for a challan... anyways i care least cuz my dad is a lawyer and carry Bar council sticker on my bike in Delhi so no one stopsOriginally posted by jd666 View Post@mindgrinder - i wish you could explain it to the cop who stalled me for over fifteen minutes, and finally i had to pay him around 250 bucks to let me go. why take the hassle man.

Thx so much mate.. I just need to confirm if every one of us have faced this puncture issue? If NOT, then may be it was just my bad luck that i suffered from all of this.Originally posted by Mindgrinder View Posti wonder why u r getting so many punctures, its better go for second option, if tyre is improved it should get less punctures, but try to confirm it from some source is it really improved, cuz i have not heard from anyone till now about it.
New tyre costs about Rs 2700. I dn want to spend Rs 1350 odd Rs for a product which is still not proven. Although MRF Service Engg and manager are trying to assure me that it is the improved version and they have just created 25 odd pieces for the same.
@ All - Please advice. I have to come to a decision by today evening.SAVE TIME....SEE IT MY WAY
