I have bought a can of carnauba wax polish. Have any fz owners tried putting it? Whats the result. Also please mention how to put the wax exactly.

^^ ive tried it on the R15, and it really tests your patience. First clean and dry bike, apply wax, let it dry to a haze/powder, and then wipe off with a dry cloth, rubbing it well.

The rubbing well and removing the powder takes the effort!

The trick is to apply the wax very thinly. The more wax you apply, the more difficult it is to buff it off. If required a second coat of wax can be applied after an hour or so.

My bike doesnt cross 100... fz s done 10k n everything is in good condition
changed the spark plug last service due to misfire, i still face the same problem of misfire n thinking of going for NGK iridium.... is that the reaso the bike doesnt cross 100??
i tried the NH7 at night....max was 102 but previously did 115

I had this problem rarely but after the 4th service, it stopped. Why don't you try speed petrol? I have done 117 max on speed.

Does Speed petrol helps in attaining more speed?? I've attained 126kmph yesterday with normal petrol! Will be uploading the video soon..

gear shift noise

bought an fz ran 600 km bike running fine but now there is huge noise when i shift gears just the same as normal shifting sound but much much louder. there is also some slack in the gearbox, i assume this is why the noise is present.


anything that i can do myself ??
and i hate the amber lens for the indicator is the clear ones avalble at most accesory shops?

Don't know about the gearbox noise! Better visit the Yamaha Showroom!


And you can use the clear lens indicator of R15 in FZ.

Go for the LED indicators accessory. Expensive, but excellent lighting.

Hi sarvajeet bhai!!! I need to get a new lamp for my FZ16 head light.... Which one would you suggest??? the stock lamp hardly lights up the road at high speeds.....

And i also need to change my rear sprocket, coz the service guys said its useless now and i need to replace it!!!

And where would i find NGK spark plugs in Hyderabad???

i do a moderatly hard run in (only after the engine is warm) no high speed but high stress in the midrange like hill climbs

i'm not entirely sure but from what i read on the net it must either be chain slack or clutch plates are sticking more than they should..
1. how much clutch freeplay do you guys recommend? (i read somewhere that the factory setup for FZ is not good)
2. is there a possibility due to hill climbs the chain had loosened/ streched ?
3. anybody here had to adjust chain slack during first service?

my bike had done about 9000kms in about 10months
i have been having problem with the battery.
the horn dies if i use both the headlights and the turn indicators or sometimes just the indicator or headlight or none. i complained during service they said they would recharge the battery but it doesnt help. in a week or so the horn starts dying again. its annoying already we have squeaky horn and when it dies its even more worse. they did recharge the battery cause it works fine for a couple of weeks. so what could be the problem? is the electrical system draining the battery or the battery isnt able to hold its charge or the bike isnt able to recharge the battery? i have this doubt cause when i switch on the pilot lamp it glows bright for a second or flickers for a second and then becomes stable but i dont see this fault in my headlight.

because of this i have been continuously postponing fixing better headlights for my bike. i'm taking my bike tomorrow to service to get over this once and for all. i've the same question as jacob. what light should i fix so that it doesnt drain battery but is also brighter? and horns too. i have seen many fz's on the road with horribly loud horns which dont seem to die though they honk continuously.

please help me guys..

Friend of mine in Faridabad does installs on FZ / R15 /Fazer looks damn neat. Does a clean job with the headlight glass and buffs the chrome out from the reflector before spraying it matt black. takes 2-3days and a number of coats of paint, but worth the effort.
