Monsoon does accelerate the wearing process, plus the riding style. Mine is a bit aggressive and considering all the aggression came out in monsoon, the change was inevitable.

The issue still didn't change my riding style but made me a little conscious. It's risk-free if you're not speeding (though I did)

. Just clean and lube the change and give it an excessive dose of WD-40 which worked for me for a while, suggested by [MENTION=10469]satyenpoojary[/MENTION] . Should get you through this month ! No Emergency. Just don't let it run dry !

i will change them this weekend.But yet another problem creeped up ...the bike idles fine but when i twist the throttle the engine shuts off. i tried upping the idle rpm but no use, this happens even when the engine is hot totally confused here what could be wrong

Check the Spark Plug. Looks like it has gone kaput.

How many kms on odo??

25400 on the odo got the bike serviced on 24956km only air filter was replaced

Changed the Air Filter for the first time?

If the Spark Plug hasn't been changed, its time to change it.

this the second time i changed the airfilter first change on 12000km. Any specific model no for the sparkplug??

Stock is NGK normal, you can go for NGK Iridium - I hope you know the slightest benefits!!, 'will cost you somewhere around ~600/- INR.

Go and ask for Spark Plug at the SVC. Costs about Rs. 115.

Iridium Spark Plugs have next to nothing benefits as quoted by many members except for cold starting property.

Slightest is what I've also mentioned, bro! Besides, there ain't no harm - Nothing worse is gonna happen, if at all something is gonna happen, I am pretty sure it will not be bad. Believe it or not, I, myself have experienced slightly better throttle but this slight may be negligible for many, a subjective discussion!

Own a Fazer 2012

Tyre Query - My front tyre has run 43000 Kms , any sugesstions on a better brand (specs).

Clutch Plates Query - Same 43000 Kms run, When do we have to change.

Engine Query - Does the engine head needs to be decarbonised, any internals to be changed ? springs etc etc noob.. no idea

You can try Michelin Pilot Sporty (100/80- 17). Offers better grip but wears out sooner than stock.

Tyre.. i think stock is the best in case of fz and since the older one gave was good till 43k kms, you should opt for it again..
Clutch Plates.. it would be a good idea to change them for optimal performance..
Engine.. others can help you better in this regard..

As i said, i want to start from the basic of the upgrades, like changing the filter and up-jetting my bike. I also need to know which filter apart from K&N will give me a better performance on the FZ. K&N is too mainstream. Every other guy with a bike has it. No offence, but it is true.
