no dude..YAMALUBEs are MOTUL repacked in YAMALUBE containers and they charge 30 odd rupees etc for tht!
basically MOTUL puts YAMALUBE sticker and gives it to YAMAHA.

      • How do I know if my bike's engine is overheating? Does that mean that the vibrations start kick in early? I think my fz16 shows vibrations at around 65-70km/hr. But all this is occasional. Last month, the bike was smooth for 90-95km/hr and that in the night.
        Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.

It's not what you ride, it's your attitude that counts.

no probs mate...YAMAHA does not make YAMALUBE,several companies eg.Torco,Imperial manufacture private label products for them depending on the country.

The way I usually tell is by the temperature. I noticed my engine overheating when I could feel the heat on my legs through my pant.. I never had any vibrations on the bike.. (touch wood ) After 2nd svc its quite good. They changed my engine oil, and this time they asked me which oil to put in... I was WTF dont you guys use only Yamalube.. Then he said yes yes we'll use that..

Paid 220Rs for the engine oil FYI...

Motul Chain cleaner and Lube are supposed to be quite good. Never used em. Will after my 6 free services. But other members in x-bhp have reco'ed them. There was a step by step DIY guide too here. Cant seem to find it...

                          • Cool Mesh seat cover

Just got the "cool mesh seat cover" fitted to my FZ and it is awesome.. Noon time, Blore not as cool as it once was... going even at 25kmph I feel a cool breeze at my rear. Jokes apart, it does it job and does it good...

                            Other info:
Cost: 1250 Another one which is fitted to gladys and albas was 300 and thats a normal one, no mesh.
SVC: Perfect Riders, JC Road, B'lore (Not avail in Orion)

Just answering some of the previous questions. It doesnt widen the rear seat. This is just wrapped around the original cover, to provide a 1cm thickness. Doesnt heat up when kept in the sun (actually tested it..).

The box says keeps dry even in rain. havent tested though it might be true as the mesh would drain the water and the 1cm gap would prevent residual water from touching the pants.

Was a bit disappointed with the fitting actually. Its wrapped in place with 4 velcro straps. 2 of them come right across the toolkit (which is where I keep my papers too..) So in the event I got to access those two, I might be in for some trouble.

nice review there , so final conclusion : worth it ?

I use my toolkit a lot ! so will the seat cover cause a problem there ?

Just did a simple workaround to that. Loosened the strap and put it below the toolkit. The remaining straps and the band (which holds the toolkit) do a good job of keeping everything in place..
