It has served me for about 5.4k kms ... months = since may last year ... didn't need to do any top ups as such ... even now the oil comes up to the same level in the botle as the new oil came with ... just that it was burnt out .Originally posted by N-o-v-i-c-e View Post

And it shows how gud it is...that it lasted these many days....
coz even if it is less used the oil degrades due to external environmental factors.....
Shame that i am not able to find it in our city.....but i m happy with the motul i found

Lock issue
Hey guys.. I have some serious issue with my lock. 2 days back i got my bike back from 6th free service. After driving home, the handle bar lock got jammed and it never got released. But I was able to turn on the ignition alone. This happened to me already. Just a knock at a particular point will fix this. So i brought a mechanic who did that and fixed it immediately. After 2 mins it got jammed again. so the local mechanic suggested to change the whole lock set as it will be risk to drive at high speeds when it gets jammed... so he removed the lock, only the lock, a small thing which moves to and fro inside a hole to get locked.
So as of now, i wont be able to do the side lock and got to get this fixed soon. Can anyone tell me how much this will cost? the whole Lock set. So the key will also be changed right? and hence the petrol tank key and seat key.
EDIT: I just spoke to SVC. they said they ll check and tell.. if there is a need to change, it will cost 900.. to change the whole lock set, petrol tank lock and the seat lock...Last edited by Aravindh; 02-07-2011, 12:52 PM.

No dont buy anything thats not required. Just go directly to the SVC. Ask them to change your settings. Also make get the high beam adjusted a bit low. Because since both our bulbs are single filament when you switch on both the headlights one beam stays high and one low.Originally posted by cscsarkar331 View Postyou can switch on both,for that you have to buy either 1low beam light or high beam light & replace with the factory 1.take it to local mechanic,he can fiddle with the electrics & voila your both headlight will be on.please dont use your current set up both on as it will drain the battery very fast.use either both high or low beam headlights to save the battery.

Hello guys i have just completed 600 km on my fz16 with maintaining 40 kmph and didn't went up to 4000 rpm yet my question can i ride my bike normally ? Or i've to maintain this even more km? Any help would be appreciate thanks !The Power of Kawasaki Ninja 250r is with me

i drove my bike on/below 40kmph till 1000km ..I don't give anyone a reason to Hate Me.

Just make sure that you expose your engine to various RPM levels in each gear. hai guys...i have some probs wit my bike...mine is fz-s clocked 3100 kms..
the poblems are...
1. engine overheat
after 3 kms ride
2. very low performance
wen engine heated up...
3. continuous clicking sound from engine..i think tappet sound...
i rode 300 kms continously twice...but during that time i maintain the speed around 50-60
only...also stopped for engine cooling at every 110 kms.....
u guys tell me...will this long ride is reason for my bike bad condition
...
svc guys always says ur bike is in good condition
....
i also have idea to sell my bike..but i dont want to do this....
but this bad bike condition makes me to do..

Hi all,
My Bike is just new, I've drove 80 KM's till now.
I noticed the following,
1. Engine is becoming over heat and I can smell Hot kind, Is it normal or some problem ?
2. I occasionally over rev upto 6K RPM but it wont last for more than 2-3 seconds.
3. I travel between 4K-5K RPM for some minute and i switch it.
whether following is ok ???

4k rpm is what the manuals says
