No they did not change anything, just cleaning. Anyway, I can understand overhauling the clutch once in a while, but every 2 months is insane.Originally posted by shv18 View PostErm Gear Return Spring comes under consumables like Engine oil and etc hence, can be charged by the SVC. however i quite don't get it how can they charge you for clutch overhaul??.. did thy replace anything or just simply cleaned it up??
Has anyone else heard of this clutch overhaul thing?

Hi Harsh,Originally posted by harsh8 View Postguys i was thinking about putting a remote lock/unlock with remote start
but i have heard that it drains the battery

I was also thinking of getting Remote Key. But I dropped the idea after dealer informed me that Yamaha has advised not to use them.

My FZ had a squeeky sound coming from the disk brake. I wasn't that much of a problem. Later on it became so loud that I could even hear it while riding. But the service centre people said it's coming from the bush/bearing or something being too dry without lubrication. The had to remove the front wheel and do the repairs. Now its fine. No sound.Originally posted by cscsarkar331 View PostHey Guys some pics of my ride after the 7th service & 1.5 years later-
No major problems still now
,the only problem is that I am fed up with the front disk sound for past 3 months & severe vibrations(sometimes) after it crosses 4500rpm after repeatedly telling the svc also ,no rectification.

And that tank pad is nice. I've been trying to get one here. Many of the people here don't even know what a tank pad is.Last edited by danny king; 04-06-2011, 12:56 AM.Your bike is a part of you....

Guys, today it happened again.....
I started my bike and the bike felt very heavy to move and to my horror the rear tyre is flat
..
This is the sixth puncture on the rear one.....earlier i didnt pay much attention to our other fellows with similar punctured tyres...
Now i dont know why but, is this the side effect of tubeless semi compound tyres....
As the tyre is getting old and accumulating mileage it tends to get punctured more.....very often now....
My odo reads as 19K+....
Now i dont know how much more the tyre would be of service to me....
Tread still seem to be in OK condition....
Is the tyre useless now with these many punctures????
Or is there another angle to this whole puncture drama
....
cheers....

About 20 k kms sounds good enough for a stock MRF, you can go for a new one dude.. Otherwise you can also use the tube inside the tyre (P220 tube fits) although I'm highly doubtful about the handling of bike after that..Originally posted by N-o-v-i-c-e View PostGuys, today it happened again.....

how much do the stickers on the tank cost ? some asshole brushed his handlebar along my tank in the parking lot, tearing the sticker. It hasn't come off, there's only a line on it, but still looks bad.
P.S. Something to make you all jealous. Been nursing the bike (read splendor mode) since the handlebar is a bit bend now. Getting figures of over 55kmpl

mine clocked 39984 kms till date
and still on stock rubber
three major punctures on rear, which is been repaired
and two nails*small ones* are still there
but they are not bothering me now
reasons for puncture are many
try to maintain optimal air pressure
I found 30 F-44 R optimal for my riding conditions, good for mileage too.
get your tyre's tread depth checked
if it is lesser then the least limit then you MUST need to change your tyre!
if you have more than two punctures on same place then you can go for HOt press Remolding Method
in this method they first warms up the tyre
then put some material on punctured surface
and remoulds it
