Personally I hate castrol I feel its a useless oil, if u want semi synthetic then best is motul 5100( around 500rs) or cheaper but second best is shell ax7(330rs) and if u want mineral oil then u can try motul 3000, gulf pride or shell ax5 all these 3 are good( within 250rs) and much better than elf. Fuel efficiency might improve but not really noticible as a good engine oil lubricates the engine better and hence less engine strain so rpms will be lower at higher speeds.Originally posted by arjunb25 View Postfor unicorn what do u suggest for castrol power 1 semi synthetic 15w40 i have been using moto 4 gold 20w40 want something better will the change of oil affect the fuel efficiency suggestions are welcome guys who have used this oil can u throw some light

I second this opinion. I feel Motul is the best and I would rate Shell next to that. I have been using Motul in my Unicorn for over 5 years and it has never felt as good with any other oil. Only once when I wasn't able to get it, I filled in Shell and it felt pretty alright. I used to use Castrol in my Splendor for 8 years and I felt that it degraded very fast.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostPersonally I hate castrol I feel its a useless oil, if u want semi synthetic then best is motul 5100( around 500rs) or cheaper but second best is shell ax7(330rs) and if u want mineral oil then u can try motul 3000, gulf pride or shell ax5 all these 3 are good( within 250rs) and much better than elf. Both 20w50 and 15w50 are thick oils. Any w40 is the best for Honda engines.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View Post20w50 would be too thick, u can go for 15w50HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
Honda Aviator || Kinetic Flyte || Kinetic Blaze || HH Splendor

I am filling Castrol Power 1, 15W-40 SS oil which costs Rs. 350/- now for about 28,000 kms in my GS and for more than 1,00,000 kms in my Suzuki Fiero. Both these bikes are in good condition now.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostPersonally I hate castrol I feel its a useless oil
So please explain why Castrol is useless oil.
Kindly clarify how the engine rpm of a bike lowers at a specific speed due to using “good” engine oil.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostFuel efficiency might improve but not really noticible as a good engine oil lubricates the engine better and hence less engine strain so rpms will be lower at higher speeds.
