Hey, I own a 05 model uni run almost 40k now, its time to change the Tyre and I'm confused if I should go for sirac street or mrf meteor which is better? And should I go for the stock 3.00x18 or upgrade to the new Gen unis stock 100/90, will it make much difference in performance and fe? And also I want to heighten my rear suspension, its set to Max now but its still pretty soft, the suspension shop guy said he has to reset it and it will cost 600 bucks, isn't that pretty steep?

I had been a proud owner of unicorn nearly 8 years !!!
& I will not recommend new CB Unicorn for you guys.
Please consult with owners before buying; I mean with your friends, who doesn't lie
I had been getting fuel mileage of constant 51-53 KM/Ltr with its stock 3.00*18 tiresOriginally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostHey, I own a 05 model uni run almost 40k now, its time to change the Tyre and I'm confused if I should go for sirac street or mrf meteor which is better? After I got changed to 100*90 , the fuel mileage had been dropped by 5 KMs !!!!
& it is true that now every unicorn owners having the mileage of 46-48 KM/Ltr, right? Any offense?
Are you looking for mileage? then stick with MRF Zapper 3.00*18
If you are looking for more grip then go for 100*90
May be my electrician was not so goodOriginally posted by Vinit S View Postyes the 7 amp battery is sufficient to run your 55w bulb but wiring should be done properly!
i even have r15 which also has headlight powered directly from battery and its battery is only of 3.5 amp ,so it will be no problem with your 7amp battery!
There was a lag between dim & bright
& I couldn't do pass light, which I have to pressed more than 2 secondsI wish if I am the only rider in roads !!!!!
So I can red line my bike all the time
1992 - 1996 - Hercules Cannon Barrel
1996 - 2002 - Hero Swing
1998 - 2004 - Bajaj Caliber (1,21,000 KMs)
2004 - 2005 - TVS Victor
2005 - 2011 - Honda Unicorn (80,000 KMs)
2011 - 2013 - Honda CB Unicorn (32,000 KMs)

oh come on brother I am getting a millage of 55 in city and yes this is my new honda cb unicorn. I agree the previous unicorn which I had was 1000 times better as those were days but now honda has cut or have started looking like other companies in the market for cost cutting. But where the engine is concerned hmmm they have not changed anything apart from giving better multi cdi unit.Originally posted by spknair View PostI had been a proud owner of unicorn nearly 8 years !!!

Re: Honda Unicorn
That's cool, so does the remote really work lik auto cop? Or is it just a dummy? I have my 05 stock uni, I'm planning to do some cosmetic mods to it, nothing major and nothing that will affect the performance, so if u can advise me on some mods that would be really greatOriginally posted by arjunb25 View PostI do have the rim tapes put on the bike with a new design of seats and also Ngk spark plugs are there shall update the pic soon.

some mods I'm gonna do is use the karizma zmr foot sets to move the gears and rear brake lever back( see the pics I posted few posts back) and remove chain guard, I don't like the uni mud guard can you suggest me some other one which fits on it? And I'd like to change the handle bar to a 2 piece one, but there's the issue of it touching the tank, probably the zmr handle bar might fit coz uni and karizma have mostly similar tanks.

@sinnerz2000: yes the karzima foot pegs can come in a good work I guess u do it then let me know shall do the same with mine? What would be the cost of it less than 300 rs. I guess. What do u say.
Buddy for the changes well I feel what is stock is stock as those people in the r&d department who work day in day out for us to enjoy the ride well I don't touch the stock bike have a lot of things in mind. The pic which u have shared is a good work but honestly when u ride it u will not enjoy it as the sound will come from a lot of places vibrations u will feel.
Also don't remove the chain guard let it be there u will regret it later on. Trust me on this. Well what else yes the handle bars man I also want the split ones as I have had a experience on pulsar 180 ug4 as well as pulsar 220 and then back on unicorn I miss those lovely handle bars but the whole problem is the dam tank wow and also if u change it with anything else As the wires will create a lot of problems and the real feel of the smooth bike will be long gone. First ride the bike who have done the mods then go for it. As u will be spending a good money here. U can go ahead for the foot pegs a good thing but for the handle bars I don't know buddyclick me

Re: Honda Unicorn
No bro its the whole set, the silver part holding the front and rear foot pegs , the brake lever(notice in pic that it doesn't go under the exhaust like stock), gear lever and its mechanism, so whole set should cost minimum 1000 I guess, I will let you know how it feels, the guy who installed on his bike said it feels great and his riding posture is perfect now because of which he has no more back pain caused by stock foot pegs position.handle bar ill check if zmr one will fit without issues, and as for the latest pic I posted, I have no plans of modifying my bike that much, I just want to heighten my shocks and personally I like naked bikes, I don't understand why people would put r15 fairing on an air cooled bikeOriginally posted by arjunb25 View Post@sinnerz2000: yes the karzima foot pegs can come in a good work I guess u do it then let me know shall do the same with mine? And for my long term mod(probably after 2 years or so) will convert my uni to 180cc Joel's big bore kit, change swingarm to the latest unis and put a 110 or 120 size Tyre with alloys and front and rear petal disk brakes

the foot pegs is a good thing can consider it for my unicorn but one question still comes in my mind what all I need to buy here only the foot pegs or the gear leaver too. from karzima right well if the back problem can get over nothing like investing 1000rs.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostNo bro its the whole set, the silver part holding the front and rear foot pegs , the brake lever(notice in pic that it doesn't go under the exhaust like stock), gear lever and its mechanism, so whole set should cost minimum 1000 I guess, I will let you know how it feels, the guy who installed on his bike said it feels great and his riding posture is perfect now because of which he has no more back pain caused by stock foot pegs position.handle bar ill check if zmr one will fit without issues, and as for the latest pic I posted, I have no plans of modifying my bike that much, I just want to heighten my shocks and personally I like naked bikes, I don't understand why people would put r15 fairing on an air cooled bike
