Because mine is a new bike and still running - in and the tyre seems to wobble on uneven surfaces in higher speeds.

Any suggestions or should i change the tyre?

Also what is the right tyre pressure for cbr?

The Contigos are notorious for manufacturing defects, and the wobbling could have been caused by that, incorrect pressure or a worn out cone set. For the correct tyre pressure refer to the manual as it differs between usage.

If you have to change tyres, CEAT ones are good for all round use, which I am currently using, however they too suffer from poor quality control. I hear that the MRF ones are akin to VFM michelins

Michelin pilot street radial "H" rated ones are the best for CBR 250r. If you mostly do solo rides then 29 psi to the front and back. And if you do carry pillion more often then 29 psi for the front and 32 psi for the rear.
Ride safe. Cheers.✌

My bike cuts off suddenly too, it happens more often when the engine oil is low. Now, I haven't got the throttle body cleaned, ever. If you know a good SVC who can do it, let me know. Odo is at 44k.

I'd suggest you to go to a compliant SVC and get the job done, it could also be the fuel filter, which is usually very gunky and full of grease dirt and such things, get both cleaned and maybe the latter replaced if necessary. If your in Chennai, I'd suggest you to try servicing at this place called service plus at Anna Nagar, Shanthi colony , run by a a few friends, very straight forward and compliant and do a very good and transparent job on the bikes for servicing.

It's a better deal if it comes with ABS. Not much to complain, if the motorcycle is well maintained and the seller is genuine in your queries, without too many question marks over his head, you can safely bet it's a good deal. All being said and done, this is after ensuring the bike is spic and span to used bike standards, with a thorough test drive and the bike being inspected both mechancially and visually to ones satisfaction.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END

Not sure though... i see many BS4 Fiasco CBR's in my city, which have clocked hardly 500KM are being sold for 1.5L. 20K more would give access to a brand new bike. A new set of Tires would set back the owner by at least 10K, which wouldn't be needed on these BS4 fiasco bikes. So, i think, these are better deals. Saw his post earlier, but didn't want to say anything as he is a happy owner. Just saying now, cuz, it come handy and you could help others

Yes it C-ABS...

Kris123....: I tried a new cbr in the end period of bs3 like insane on all showroom in Chennai... I must say no luck to me....

And I tried a lot in OLX, there are cheaper options available but I am feared due to some indirect reasons and genuineness of ownership... I.e some sellers says unable to meet the owner that mentioned in the RC. .

So I picked this one...

I checked many bikes in olx most of the bikes there are with problems, either in bike or with papers. And most of the sellers are not the owners. When I'm investing this amount of money why I would not go for a genuine person from whom I can get a clear picture of the bike.
I almost cracked a deal, you can see 3-4 pages before. The seller was relative of the owner and he did not have the form 28 signed by the seller all the other docs were signed, the seller was in abroad but in the last moment he said his relative authorized him to sign. I felt some mischief and walked off the deal.

Make sure you examine every bit of detail regarding the bike. You are investing your hard earned money after all.
Good luck to you my friend.

Hi Members,
The engine oil is leaking from the right hand side of the engine. Could someone please help me figure out what might be causing this? The drain bolt is properly tightened.

Thanks,

amaath - did you change the oil filter recently? Chances are the leak is coming from the oil filter area.

Hi leech, Thanks for your reply. I did not change the oil filter recently. I had topped up the oil a week back.

Thanks!

The Drain bolt of the CBR is located towards the left of the motorcycle and underneath the crank Case. A leak on the right side can relate to faulty bolt torques of the oil filter cover or a warped oil filter gasket. I'd suggest you to trace the oil stains on the engine, this will give you an idea as to whether it emanates from the upper quadrant of the engine or the lower quadrant, meaning oil filter and the likes. At least from the looks of it, it seems it can either be either the oil filter cover/gasket. Keep us posted.

Cheers!
