usage of 3m primer helps in avoiding this issue.but the bonding between primer & the vinyl gets pretty strong which when you want to remove may peel off paint/outer coating of the surface

as of now most svcs here recommend mineral top up for initial run in which costs 301 rs. for 1400 ml (a honda factory product only).I am going on thursday for my servicing & will find out about more on semi synth & full synth

Did it myself with help of a fellow xbhpian.procuring this in india is tough & I got it through one of my office vendors for personal use.

some rs. 205 per sq feet for the vinyl & rs.58 per 10 ml for the primer.

Brothers and sisters who own a CBR... I NEED HELP!! :'(
today while i was standing at a traffic red light, a splendor+ came from the wrong side, lost balance and smashed into my CBR!since i was wearing a helmet, he didnt see my face...i saw plastic pieces fall on the ground and i was shocked that my bike's vizor was shattered.Instead of trying to make up,he said "kya sir aap dekh rahe ho gadi aa raha hai aur aap aise hi road pe khade ho"....but i was too shocked to reply and immediately got down my bike and parked it in the middle of the road.the splendor guy though i was gonna beat him up for breaking my bike (as he though those plastic pieces wer from my visor) so he at once raced away, I never cared (cus anyways i cudnt do anything to him, he was an old man say 50-55 yrs old and was carrying 3 three cardboard boxes on his bike..thats y he lost control) but by gods grace absolutely nothing was damaged in my bike...not a single scratch!! i guess those plastic pieces wer his mudguard and visor!

but my front foot rest is totally bent!! if i place my foot there for long,it will break off!! I need a new foot rest (LEFT SIDE) anyhow!!


CAN SOMEONE HELP ME HERE????


although i went to honda SVC later regarding this foot rest and yes i have this very faint scratch towards the inner part of the handle in the silver area...
the SVC guys said the scratch can be made up without any problem but the footrest will take another 2-3 months to arrive!!

Our sympathies are with you Amlan, let's see, if we can source the foot rest from somewhere else. Will definitely check out in the nearest showrooms.

But, I feel you should contact HMSI main plant, and see if they can send the part asap.

Sad to hear that Amlan. As the spare parts are yet to reach any of the dealers, As hifisharu mentioned, try if you can somehow contact Honda plant and source one.
Else the only way I can think of now is to get from Thailand.

The oil is Rs.504/litre. So total oil change costs Rs.700-800. Its made by some company for honda. And even the pic uplaoded says 100% synthetic.
P.S: Well in the universal threads, sometime before i read of guys buying petronas sprinta full synthetic for rs.450/l and some even claimed for buying it for rs.330.. The page also had prices of others and were around same range..

I really wish the tank sticker was carbon fiber type that would have made it look very rich.

You can weld it for temporarly from any welding shop till you get the original foot rest.
